Delhi Masala — Restaurant in Sagunto

Update: ordered from here again a few months later and I’m happy to report that the restaurant has actually listened and improved the ordering process. It is now possible to choose the spiciness level. And they called me to tell when the order was ready. I’m very impressed that the owners didn’t just ignore my previous feedback. Also, the people working at the restaurant are very nice and friendly. The takeout process needs to be improved. I couldn’t specify the spiciness level for my order on the site, and by default they make everything so not-spicy that it’s actually sweet. I tried adding chili to the food but it didn’t help. Also, they didn’t tell me my order was ready until I contacted them myself. I really hope they fix these issues. The restaurant is also available on Glovo but not all menu items are available: I couldn’t find naans there. The food could be better. The pulao rice was bland, no spices in sight (and no aroma). In the quaint streets of Ruzaffa lies this cute little Indian restaurant Delhi Masala. Having ordered food from here previously, I thought we should explore more options in person. So we went in for lunch. The ambience is nice, they have a great seating area with Hindi music playing in the background which gives you a feeling of being back in India. We went in for lunch. Was greeted with a very friendly staff. As most Indian restaurants here, they too served us a papad with different chutneys (Indian sauces) to begin with. For starters we had their chicken (pollo) tikka sizzler and veg samosa. Both were equally delicious. For the main course had the vegetable shahi paneer (Indian quesso) with cheese naan, could make out that the paneer was soft and freshly made and the cheese naans were super delicious. For dessert tried their mango kulfi, it was nice, and as told to us that it was made in house. They also gave us complimentary lassi shots to end our meal. Really good Indian food for all! Came here for dinner and the food and overall experience was very pleasant. The service and tentativeness was excellent and the food was very tasty as well. With usual Indian restaurants, they usually come with a standard level of spice. This place has 5 levels and you can pick how spicy you want the dishes to be. Our waiter also helps you if needed. We wanted to order more starters but after taking our order, he suggested that it may be too much and reduced it instead of just accepting which is quite rare these days in Valencia.
