BUKOWSKI CRAFT BEER BAR — Local services in Valencia

This is a bar that really needs to up its game. That means replacing the grumpy, unwelcoming service when ordering at the bar, installing proper aircon, having at least some music, and getting better beers (the last one I had there was flat) and ones that don't cost the earth. Right now the place just screams "profit!!!!" and cares little for its customers, merely their wallets. (My review is based on my having visited the bar six times).

Since I wrote the review, the owner added some comments which were an attempt to deflect from, and demean, the validity of my experience. By grumpy service I do not mean (as the owner claimed) being asked to lower my voice when outside (which I was not asked to do); I simply meant grumpy service by the bar staff at the counter. It says a lot about an establishment when it tries to distort meaning and manipulate facts to evade taking responsibility for the truth. As regards the cheapest shot of all - that places with "industrial" beers are more my style - nothing could be further than the truth. Easily the best craft beer bar in Valencia by some distance. The very friendly and knowledgeable (English speaking) barman has worked in two local breweries and really knows his hops. Unlike Olhops most of their beers on tap are from Valencia which is what I was looking for. Add to this quotes from the late great Charles Bukowski on the walls and Velvet Underground/Stooges on the playlist and it’s a bar that would stand out in any craft beer friendly capital city in the world. This craft beer bar is amazing! They have a variety of 15 taps with quality beers, and the atmosphere is super cozy and friendly.
