Amazon: Secret Jungle — Restaurant in Salou

From seeing social postings to the hype of booking and arriving at the venue it didn’t disappoint. From the secret entrance and the amazing atmosphere and welcome of the staff we honestly felt like we were VIP.

Rodney and his team did not at any point make us feel like we had to ask for anything, they just kept coming with more and more and that to me just meant they valued us been there.

Cocktails on arrival amazing, all handmade and delicious no pre mix on anything, which seems to be the running theme of Salou.

Everything felt premium to the tables and the decor, and such an intimate environment can sometimes be too much or too little when it comes to the feel and vibe but here, the space lent itself more and more to the experience overall.

Food we chose from the ‘Secrets Taste’ Set Menu option which was different the one we had pre seen before going but nonetheless it impressed. You can see the chef’s inspiration in the menu and it really lends to the locally sourced ingredients and the flair for flavours that marry and complement each other!

Starter board was an interesting mix, but each dish didn’t disappoint, and lent a flavour to each one! This changes and will be different from the online menu as we found out, but the website will be changed to reflect chefs choice/seasonal availability.

Main from the list we choose the fish and chips, with a Spiced Tempura Cod. It was good to see that the fish was not overdone and fringed on the fresh/cooked level giving it a very moist and creamy/tender texture.

Dessert was a secret surprise and to be involved with the preparation was nostalgic for me of a time when I worked in hospitality, and a honestly to have that memory was fun and gratifying.

We chose the drink pairing pack with the menu, and honestly couldn’t fault any of the choices, I’m not a wine drinker/lover but it really was great pairings, chosen by the owner.

From amazing aesthetics of the venue to the menu and team we honestly felt in another place that gives you vibes that wouldn’t be amiss in a high end London or New York restaurant! For Salou this is a really fresh experience that needs to be kept intimate and secret!

Wow, we've just returned from Amazon Secret Jungle! Prepare to have your mind blown and your taste buds truly tantalised! From the second you step inside after solving a puzzle to enter the secret door, you're transported to this incredible jungle paradise. The decor and ambience are simply breathtaking! The attention to detail is out of this world. It’s like they've plucked a chunk of the Amazon and dropped it right here, complete with amazing greenery and monkeys hanging from the atmospheric lighting. Keep an eye out for the huge gold gorilla when you come in. The staff are absolute gems. Super friendly and so attentive, they make you feel like royalty without being overbearing. They seem genuinely happy to be there, with great recommendations, and they totally elevate the whole experience.

The food is incredible here! Every single dish is a masterpiece, bursting with flavour, and so beautifully presented. I had a steak, cooked to perfection! The seafood is so fresh and tasty. The chefs selection board is fantastic to try all kinds of delicious flavours and textures. Do make sure you note the price of this one though. It's quite a lot of money for tiny portions. Make sure you get the trio of sauces too. They take everything to the next level! A beautiful palate cleanser was introduced between courses, which was a lovely treat. I really loved how if you eat too much (which is easy to do because it's all so delicious) they even have a bed for you to relax on. How amazing is that! For a really special touch, order a cocktail. They're not just drinks, they're a whole experience! Ours were magically presented with smoke swirling around, adding this incredible, theatrical touch. It’s like a little show with every sip! Amazon Secret Jungle isn't just a restaurant, it's like an adventure for all your senses.

Thd only downside we found is that the toilets weren't at all themed, and the chefs taster menu seemed quite expensive for such a small dish. It was delicious, but 35 Euros seems a lot of money for what you get. Aside from that, we...

If you're looking for a unique dining experience in Salou, Amazon: Hidden Jungle is an absolute must! This incredible restaurant is tucked away behind a secret door, and to enter, you have to solve a clue to unlock the code—just like stepping into a real-life adventure. We stumbled upon it by chance, and what a discovery it was!

From the moment you walk in, you’re transported to an exotic jungle world. The decor is lush and immersive, with vibrant greenery, jungle sounds, and playful monkeys on the walls and celing. The ambiance was just perfect—relaxing, atmospheric, and full of surprises.

We arrived late at our nearby hotel and went out in search of food. The place was listed on the map but had no reviews yet, so we weren’t sure what to expect. Luckily, the owner happened to be outside and warmly invited us in. That was the start of a magical evening.

The staff were wonderful, especially with children. The waiter was friendly, attentive, and made sure the kids were entertained with little activities so they wouldn’t get bored—something every parent will appreciate!

As for the food—absolutely delicious. I ordered the curry fish, and it was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Every dish we tried was flavorful and beautifully presented, and their cocktails were just as impressive.

To top it all off, we found out we were actually their very first customers, as they had only just opened the day before. It truly felt like we had stumbled upon something special before the rest of the world finds out.
