O Mar Restaurant — Restaurant in Salou

The dish, aptly named: 'My Grandmother's Creamy Soup', is everything I hoped it would be. It was cheesy, very yeasty and had the delicate tang of aged tuna, with a dastardly note of fungi, almost as though the dish was received straight from a genuine Granny herself. Thank you Grandma for all the cream, I didn't know you could make so much!

This soup is innately generous, beyond the general cream it has leg of crab and a healthy clapping scent of fertility. This is a soup to be relished! If I could bring myself too, I'd take away a star. Because while the soup is frothy and flavoursome beyond belief, after selling in my chin hairs for a short while it's pungency became something foul and dark, like the fear of the cold war. This smell; I could not rid myself of it, it clung to my being and I hummed of Grannies cream until I could bleach my face.

The service at O Mar in Salou was disappointing—slow, inattentive, and overall lacking. The food was okay, but the menu is a bit confusing and not very informative. The oysters were definitely the highlight: fresh, large, and delicious, though only served with lemon and no other options.

Main dishes are basically just the protein—there’s no clear indication anywhere about what sides (if any) you can order. For the price point, you’d expect the langoustines and shrimp to be peeled and cleaned, but they weren’t. The shellfish utensils weren’t the most practical either, especially if you’re expected to eat the entire meal with your hands.

We haddnt booked . The old lady with the blonde bob was so rude . She did not have any people skills , she made us feel like we had caused an inconvenience by asking if they was a table available for us . We should have walked back out t again to be honest but we ordered the children's meal was terrible and out meal the seafood platter average . Some mussels were cold and the fish was cold inside.
