Had reserved a table on 30/9 at 8pm for two people. We were greeted and seated immediately, given menus and drinks orders taken. We ordered two glasses of wine which took 20 minutes to arrive. We noticed a lot of little bugs on the table which we ignored but in hindsight I’ve never noticed them in any other table in Maspalomas. We had to wait 35 minutes to take our food order after trying to get the attention of a waiter. While we waited for our food to arrive we tried very hard to order another drink, when we finally got the opportunity to order those two additional glasses of wine, they took 15 minutes to arrive. When our food arrived (30 minutes from ordering which is good timing) my beef tenderloin was amazing but my partners chicken breast was completely cold. We sent the chicken back which took another 15 minutes to come back but by then, the sides we ordered (broccoli and fries) were gone cold as they were sitting there until the chicken came back. Not once did a waiter check in with us as to how to food was or apologised or offered to reheat the sides. When the chicken did come back it was dry and fairly tasteless from being reheated. For the location and views the whole experience was ruined by the service. I’d recommend to avoid this place and visit the other surrounding restaurants as this has been the worst restaurant experience I’ve experienced in my 6 years...
Read moreThe only reason I write this review is for the hope that the right person will read this. Today we were a group of 7 ready to enjoy our Sunday afternoon at Blue Marlin. When we arrive the waiters start to discuss with us that one in our group was not dressed properly for the setting. He had a football T-shirt on and they told him to go home and change if he wanted to enjoy his time. We told the staff that we live far away and they responded “go and buy something then”. Said and done we went to Tommy Hilfiger and bought a new T-shirt. 30 min later we’re back and they literally told us “well… he has to buy also new pants”. Our friend had long pants from a high end, expensive brand.
Now, there are NO SIGNS of dress code for the place. It’s just their personal reference that they didn’t want him there. Also, I’m in chock of the way they communicated with us. But mostly to our friend that just wanted to have a good time, went to buy a new T-shirt and still get refused…
On top of this, our friend is from another country and for sure stands out from the crowd (he looks absolutely FAB) and it probably sticks in peoples eyes of the poor staff that just want to claim authority. This felt totally personal to our friend and I will say if once’s and for all — this was a racist move. Bad, bad, bad! No more words. I wish the management read this and investigate...
Read moreRUDE STAFF We had a reservation for a sunset drink, when we arrived out of the elevator there was no one to greet us.. we stood awkwardly watching all the staff chat amongst themselves and laugh and ignore us for a good couple of minutes, we then found a table and sat down ourselves. Around 5 minutes later a waitress arrived with no hello or smile and said that these tables were reservations only, we informed her that we had a booking and then she left. She did not bother to ask for our reservation name/time. 15 minutes went by and no one had served or greeted us since, we then pressed the buzzer and eventually someone come over and took our drinks order. We ordered a bottle of wine which was then dumped at our table in a stand (UNOPENED) and no glasses. A few minutes went by and we asked for a waitress to open the bottle and for some glasses. We then decided that we didn’t want to be there any more and asked the lady to take the unopened bottle of wine away and we left.. the worst service I have ever experienced in my life I was shocked. We felt unwanted. We left and headed to cafe del mar down the road and had the most amazing dinner and entertainment. I wouldn’t waste your time there, although the sunset view would of...
