Segway Gran Canaria — Attraction in San Bartolomé de Tirajana

Alex, after ensuring that we were no novices to Segway, fitted our safety helmets and off we went.

The tour was excellent and we saw lovely parts of the coast, the dunes and the Maspalomas area. We had a variety of surfaces that we travelled on and even ventured off-road for a short while - which we loved.

There was plenty of information during the tour and we stopped to get great photo opportunities.

This is a wonderful way to get familiar with a part of Gran Canaria that we didn’t know very well. But, best of all, Alex shot a video of our tour and created a brilliant short film complete with music and transitions.

First of all Alex is very helpful and friendly. He goes that extra mile which makes the difference between an okay experience and a truly memorable one.

He picked us up at the hotel, explained to us patiently how to ride the segway and then took us on an enjoyable trip in Maspalomas. I initially thought that I would rent a Segway and explore the area on my own, and I'm glad I didn't. It was essential to have someone to explain the intricacies of riding the segway and show you the best routes. Alex took us through a variety of routes, including zig-zag, on road, beach front and off-road. He also made a nice go-pro video as trip souvenir.

An easy 5*...

We booked the 2 hour Segway tour around Maspalomas and Meloneras (around 18 km), with my wife and my 2 teenagers. All of us had previous Segway experience, but my wife was somehow a bit less comfortable on slopes down and off-road. Alex was very kind to help her and offer alternatives to off-road. Alex made snapshots and short movies all along the way with his GoPro. We even had a small surprise at the end of the tour.
