The restaurant came into being in 1958 and was the first here on Melanera beach. Before the construction of comercial centers Meloneras arrived 13 years ago. 2 stars for the food, we ordered vegetarian burgers with fries. One star is for ‘originality’ - I’ve never seen anything like it! This was literally some chopped vegetables fried and then very loosely shaped. Very loosely, just look at the thing and it fell apart. So the other star is for ‘sense of humour’, well we laughed anyway, it seemed like the best option. And I have to add that we ate it, it wasn’t inedible and we were very hungry - adding ketchup and mustard helped. It is a lovely place offering good value for money if you compare it with other restaurants nearby. I had noticed previous comments about slow service so I was preparing myself for a long wait however the food arrived relatively quickly so I can't complain with the service. My husband and child had both the burger and hot dog which they enjoyed and I had the vegetarian paella. The only place we found where you can order a paella for one, usually requires a minimum of 2.
