Dolce Vita — Restaurant in San Miguel de Abona

The food is excellent. The mortadella ciabatta, various pizzas, steak and carpaccio have all been excellent in my three visits over the past 18 months. However, the atmosphere is lacking (empty seats) and the real issue (which has prompted the review) is the haughty and slow service). The pomposity of waiting staff is in stark contrast to the hotel staffs service. Food is slow and the staff seem perplexed at simple requests such as "may the pizza for the child be brought out with the adults starters"... This is a solvable problem.

I think my experiences have been tarnished as the hotel offers vouchers to this restaurant and the people that run it are trying to differentiate themselves from the all inclusive. However, the lack of flexibility and condescending nature of waiting staff tarnish the experience. One would think that you are entering L'Enclume not an Italian Trattoria... Myself and my partner dined here this evening and thought it was fabulous. Hostess Claudia was very welcoming on arrival and showed us to a lovely table in the beautiful restaurant. Our waiters Alejandro and Gulliamo were so friendly and explained the food options really well. We had the fillet steak which was cooked perfectly and was a very generous size and a spicy pizza which was bursting with fresh ingredients. Who would’ve guessed that an Italian restaurant in Tenerife will be our preferred choice for dinner! Unfortunately I didn’t take many pictures of the food except for this soufflé, but that doesn’t mean it was bad, quite the opposite. Crunchy pizza Margarita and spicy pasta Arrabbiata.
