Fantastic Restaurant in San Blas, Golf Del Sur!
Family had recommended this place last year and we booked to make sure we could go and it didn’t disappoint, absolutely brilliant eating experience!
I’m not the fishiest of Dudes, but I’ve seen friends go Ga-ga for mussels, so when I saw them on the menu and thought I’d give them a whirl as a starter! Now as long as you don’t look at them too closely as it can seem like something off a Predator movie but the taste…wow! Different textures and flavours of the ‘soup’,meat and garlic bread on the side: simply fantastic!
The wife had garlic prawns and they looked and tasted, delicious!
Mains was Fillet steak, medium rare for me and the Teriyaki Salmon, for the Old Girl: both perfectly cooked and sized meals to allow room for a home made Pudding. Our Daughter had the Chicken Caesar Salad and said it was the best she’s ever had 👌
I had the chocolate fondant pudding: Freshly cooked, served with vanilla ice cream, amazing gooey centre surrounded by rich delicate, chocolate, cakeygoodness!
The wife had a barraquito, & our Daughter had a cookie ice cream sandwich: they finished the meal perfectly!
All in, with three glasses of wine and 3 estrellas, three courses each, all for less than 100 euros, great value for the quality served.
Thank you Team Old Fashioned 1986 🙏
From the welcome, the cleanliness of the toilets, to the menu, to the food, quality and taste, to the departing Thanks: it was all brilliant! 👍

Read moreWe dined on Thursday night. What a culinary delight to find in San Blas. Situated beside the Great wall Chinese. For starters we had Garlic prawns Chicken liver pate and squid. All of them fantastic but the prawn dish probably the best I have had anywhere.
We had tender mouth watering Shoulder of lamb and the most amazing delicate sea bass cooked to perfection. saw a lot of burgers being served and they looked wow. Ill be trying one of those the next time for sure. Its great to find someone going the extra mile add moving away from the same old same old. I hope your getting my excitement about this gem.
Go you will not be disappointed
We got chatting to the Chef owner Juan who it turned out worked in some of Dublin's top eateries including a Michelin star.
We were greeted and served by Catriona a very experienced courteous and professional waitress. It was a lovely night and we will certainly be returning.
I would be willing to be a lot more for this kind of quality food but it comes at an extremely reasonable price.
Thanks Guys...
Read moreWent here because of all the rave reviews. I hated the setting, the restaurant sits in the middle of a square choke full of british tourists and bars catering mostly to the their norman saxon patrons swarming in the plaza. To make matters worse, there''s even live singers performing what must be old granny smith's favorite pieces (including a supposedly gay singer, that's if his makeup and behavior is not just for show). The food was good, but nothing spectacular, as I expected after reading all the reviews. And i even went there twice to make sure. Had the slow cooked pig stomach the first time, the crust was thick, almost inedible, and the pork had a definite lack of taste. Tried the burger the second time, it was very good, but nothing mindblowing. It gets 3 stars instead of 2 because of the american waitress, she's awesome! All in all, if you can stand the horrible music and ambiance (or if ure british and 50+), do give it a try. For those seeking more... authentic experiences, you might wanna try...
