GORILA — Restaurant in San Sebastián

We visited Gorilla Cocktail Bar twice during our stay in San Sebastián—and both times were great in their own way.

The first time was in the evening for cocktails, and it was the perfect way to kick off a night out. The drinks were spot on—some classics, some more exotic and the atmosphere was relaxed but full of energy. The staff were really friendly, and the big gorilla hanging from the ceiling adds a playful touch that makes the place feel fun and unique.

The second time we came back for lunch, and that was just as good. Tasty food, nice drinks, and again, a great vibe on the terrace. It’s the kind of spot that works at any time of day.

Planned to go to Antonio’s but there was a queue outside and couldn’t be bothered to wait so came here instead - I was not disappointed!

Probably the best food we ate in San Sebastián all week - in particular the watermelon tartare with South American gazpacho was absolutely exquisite. The service was also genuinely really friendly and welcoming. Portions were generously sized as well so although not the cheapest place we ate it felt good value for money. At lunchtime it was quiet and we were easily able to get a table to sit - something I’ve come to appreciate this week!! Definitely...

Was looking for a cocktail bar that was open mid-day on a Monday in San Sebastian (a hard ask here), and was pleasantly surprised to find GORILA!

They had a large selection of cocktails - classics to unique. We opted for some of their more unique drinks and really enjoyed them! The bartender was very knowledgeable, explaining the drinks when they were brought out.
