The food here was amazing! If had a very authentic/ local feel to it! You CANNOT beat the price , seriously if you're looking for somewhere with great portion this is your spot. Most pinchos have very little food but at this location you will absolutely leave full without breaking the bank. It was a nice change of pace while at Donostia to feel like a local and eat food until content. Here's what we had: Croqueta- extremely creamy and just hot enough to not burn yourself. The dough on the exterior was light and crispy. Inside was mushy with bits of ham Chorizos- it's not like Mexican chorizo! Be warned! It's soft and has a distinct taste that's not quite just a sausage. Overall i enjoyed it but thought one was enough Patata brava- this was the best potatoes I've had while at Donostia. Crispy, soft inside and cooked to perfection! The sauce on top tasted like a ketchup and mayo mix and it was poured all over Ración de empanadas- this is a must try, it's essentially a de constructed empanada. What really makes this dish stand out is the filling inside. A savory steamed lettuce and meat that was well seasoned. The bread was light and doughy, making it easy to eat. The ambience is very local with no music playing so you can enjoy a conversation.

A tapas bar and a restaurant with a dining hall in the back. Lots of people in the bar, not so many in the restaurant. Food is great, service is quick. Had entrecôte, clam shells and pancakes with meat. Fried peppers for starters and a nice dessert with coffee and avec after the meal. Prices is not bad compared to other places in Donostia-San Sebastian. People should go here!

Excellent weekend lunch menu with three starters (delicious pimientos del patron, mixed salad in a perfect marinade with salmon, delicate brandada de bacalao con piquillos), juicy ham from the oven with mushrooms and potato purée chosen as main course, wine and dessert. Not a bad idea to have an extensive beach walk in advance ... 😊

The prices were justified only by the restaurant's location, perhaps because we arrived around 10:00 PM. I ate more out of hunger than pleasure, and I hate having to say that. The wine was served already opened at the table (I personally saw bottles being poured into other bottles, without understanding it, at the time the place was closing), which only makes sense if you order house wine instead of a bottle. I sincerely hope that the fact that I'm a foreigner didn't influenced the staff but I felt treated like that, when I really just wanted to enjoy dinner after a day of traveling. No one spoke English. I just hope they try to improve, not with English—I'm terrible at it too—but with politeness and empathy, which I don't think are national. Unfortunately, I expect nothing more than a rude response to this review of mine, as has been done to others who considered it a less than excellent place, so as to confirm my impressions of...
