La Taberna del Cortijo — Restaurant in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

A cozy place to grab something to eat.

Even though the location is on a busy street towards the late evening you could sit comfortably outside. Inside the atmoshpere is great, with a somewhat rustic vibe. Staff speaks little English, but were friendly and attentive.

There is a good choice of drinks (and beer on tap), with the only negative for me being that wines are offered per bottle and not per glass.

We had Eggs with chorizo and Tuna salad. Both were beautifully presented and I enjoyed them very much. So much so that I would rank the first dish as the finest "omelette" I've had in Spain.

The chocolate mousse dessert I tried was good, nothing too special.

Found this small restaurant by accident which is located within walking distance of El Corte Ingles. One of the first things I noticed that all lunchtime almost all of the tables were reserved. It is old style with a lot of character. The waiting staff are professional and pleasant. The food was beautifully prepared and my salad was exquisite and topped with a warm honey based dressing. The steak was cooked to perfection and the chocolate dessert was a delicious. I will certainly revisit and book next time to...

Siempre que visitamos este restaurante, la atención es simplemente espectacular. El personal se esmera en cada detalle, haciéndonos sentir bienvenidos y muy bien atendidos en todo momento. Es un lugar al que volvemos una y otra vez porque la experiencia siempre es de 10.

La comida es absolutamente inmejorable. Cada plato refleja el uso de materia prima de excelente calidad, algo que se nota en cada bocado. Los sabores son auténticos, bien equilibrados, y la frescura de los ingredientes hace que cualquier elección del menú sea una apuesta segura.

Uno de los aspectos que siempre nos sorprende positivamente es la relación calidad-precio. Teniendo en cuenta la calidad de los productos, los platos están a un precio más que razonable, lo que convierte a este restaurante en una opción accesible para disfrutar de una comida excelente sin gastar demasiado.

En cuanto a las recomendaciones, no puedes perderte el vermut artesano, una verdadera joya que aporta ese toque especial al inicio de la comida. Y los postres merecen una mención aparte: todos son deliciosos, pero siempre nos quedamos encantados con su variedad y la frescura de los sabores.
