This place calls itself Mr. Chen, it should call itself Mr. Cucaracha. The restaurant is located in the upper floor of the Nivaria shopping center, about a block from "EL Corte Ingles" it looked clean enough from the outside and the kitchen can be viewed from the dining area through a plexiglass partition. It is located in a food court of sorts with two other places serving food, service was Ok for the location, prices are reasonable and the food was actually very good. However, while having lunch not one but two small cockroaches walked right across the table. I am a bit reluctant to blame this restaurant in particular because there are other eateries nearby, also the shopping center is located in a very populated area on a sub tropical island. Having said that the shopping center needs to focus more on pest control since cockroaches are a known problem in Tenerife.
Advice: call some pest control company.

First, we were waiting for our order for at least 20 minutes, although we ordered ordinary sushi and fried chicken.
Chicken was tasteless, specifically lemon chicken was a crispy chicken pieces soaked in a lemon jelly. Another dish - crispy chicken were tiny shredded pieces of chicken, deep fried and soaked in some brown sauce.
Making with crab turned out to be making with crab sticks (surimi), and not real crab.
Service was not particularly friendly.
It was hot to sit there - just above us it was a glass-covered roof.
Are we going to visit this place again? I...
Read moreGood food but horrible service . All of the waiters speak only Spanish. No English. No French... kinda weird considering the location... Also we were 2 adults and 2 children . Our food came first. The kids had to wait another 20 mins for theirs( we asked the waiter 2 times for their food ....). Its common sense to bring first and foremost the food to the young ones as thei have a hard time wayching adults eating as they want for their food ( of cours we waited for their food în results we where obligate to eat our food cold). Conclusion: not...
