La Ventita de Santa Cruz — Restaurant in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

We were looking for a not so touristic place and found this restaurant for lunch. Unfortunately, they have no English menu, but with google translate we managed. The food (we had the vegetarian wok and the angus beef platter) was really nice and extremely fast! The service was friendly and they also took care of the backpack we forgot at the restaurant. We can definitely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a quiet and non touristy...

Hace unos meses, sobre agosto, acudimos para una despedida y fuimos más de 35 comensales, ya que éramos mucha gente de la misma empresa. Se llamó con anterioridad para confirmar que habían más de 4 personas que no comíamos carne y si tenían alguna opción alternativa del menú, a lo cual nos dijeron que no había ningún problema en modificarlo. Una vez allí nos hicieron levantarnos y sentarnos en la misma esquina para "ponérselo más fácil", lejos de las personas con las que habíamos ido de acompañantes o queríamos tener al lado durante la cena. Bien, pues la alternativa del menú era DEJARNOS MIRANDO mientras los demás comían. Sí, un menú que nos había costado 30€ por cabeza. Al preguntarle a la camarera tuvo muy mal servicio y no nos daba soluciones hasta que le estuvimos insistiendo bastante. Al preguntarle si no tenían croquetas sin carne o algo similar solo respondía que es que eso no estaba en el menú... Un menú que consistía en que si no te lo comes tú se lo doy a otro compañero de tu mesa que se lo coma. Después de insistir nos sacaron más papas arrugas y algún champiñón con almogrote... Que ni decir tiene que para un menú de 30€ no tiene lugar hincharse a papas. Encima al terminar hubo un comensal que no pudo acudir y nos cobraron su menú igualmente, aunque fuéramos una mesa de más de 35 personas....

Best restaurant we could find in Santa Cruz. Only had lunch here but the food was excellent, especially the artichoke with poached egg and the cheese platter (lots of cheese, more than enough to share with 3 or 4 people). Nice terrace in the sun and the interior is nice and cozy, unlike most of the other restaurants that still prefer hard fluorescent lighting. Definitely...
