I will try to be fair, we are well traveled, and it is our third time in Tenerife, not newbies. We had lunch before in this place and it was fine. Having said that, they ruined our New Year's Eve dinner. Even though we reserved a table for 9, we were standing outside for 30 minutes with my elderly mother before being seated. I had to ask for a bottle of wine three times and it took an hour to be delivered. Although the prices were inflated for the occasion (which we knew in advance) they charged extra for the bread and the grapes. My meat was bone cold, almost fridge cold. The children's pork was severly undercooked (pork!). The service was disastrous. And as I said it wasn't cheap, at 50+ euros per person in an island you can make you gut explode of pleasure for less than 30. Now, I don't care about the money, I care about the time with my family I can't get back, I care about the rudeness, I care about the carelessness, and I care about the huge disappointment on a night that was otherwise perfect. I didn't think food could be bad in Spanish territory after countless visits. Plaza 18...
Read moreOur family of four had early dinner here. 2 out of 3 dishes were okay - tuna tataki with wasabe and sesame and teriyaki sauce & fried chicken with fries - these were good. Hake with green peas looked like school dinner and tasted about the same - did not enjoy. They offer no virgin coctails or any coctails, just beer and wine and water. Service was friendly, but they messed up our order (the hake - I now wish I took the shrimp offered by mistake). If some dishes are taken off the menu and drinks menu is extended, it would be an improvement. Another suggestion: a separate area for non-smokers would be great as I’m allergic, which I told them and they seated us next to several smokers tables - really difficult to enjoy...

When we asked for chocolate cake for desert we were told by the small english speaking waiter they had non left so were offered a coconut desert ,which was miniscule compared to the portion sizes given to other Spanish speaking customers. When i went inside to pay there was a large dish full of chocolate cake, so we were lied to by the waiter. If they don't want to sell you something they shouldn't advertise it. Perhaps they don't like...
