Overall the food was dry and oily. Not recommended.
Not at all authentic. Japanese food in Japan is usually of a high standard. (I lived in Kyoto for 2 years so I know).
I ordered a katsu cutlet. The meat was very thin, dry and the batter oily. A very small portion of sauce was provided for the katsu and not authentic tasting.
Ordered rice separately as this was not included with the katsu. Rice was dry.
I also ordered mixed tempura. It was very oily and slightly overcooked. No Tentsuya dipping sauce was provided (this is a light sauce that usually comes with Tempura.). Instead only soya sauce was provided.
Atmosphere is nice and the waitress was helpful.
The current average high star rating is a massive over rating and misleading.
