Sal de Campo — Restaurant in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Lunch on the terrace, wrong decision. It was windy and the tables for two persons are placed at the edge of the shade. Halfway through the meal I had to move because of the sun. Empanados to start then a suggested cut of beef recommended by the waiter who didn't ask how we would like the meat. When it was served ot was cut into slices and fairly rare. He offered to bring a hot plate to sear the meat a little more. It arrived after we had almost finished. Only chips on offer and had a taste of oil that had been used to often. No house wine when asked told by the glass or a bottle which is the house wine. At 21 euros a bottle hardly a house wine. We had made a reservation for the terrace and they told us inside was complete when asked having seen the conditions of the terrace. A bit overpriced for what it is and needs to work on details regarding service. Toilet score 2 out of 5. Paper on the floor, no soap...

General good but details to improve. We order 1kg steak for 2. The meat was really good but there are few things to improve with service, and than I think this restaurant has a chance to go next level Waiter didn’t ask how we would like our steak - that’s crucial It’s Argentinian restaurant and the only option vine for glass is one Spanish wine For a side dish only fries. There is no in the menu any veggie option such as spinach which is perfect for a steak. Finally you have a super heavy meal Not sure if this is every time, but during our visit, there was a laud pop music. I went because of the good reviews for the Argentinian steak. It was really delicious! I was dining alone quite early and the first course was a bit too salty for my taste. I got gluten-free bread for the appetizer salsa and good flavored olives (unfortunately with stones but it was not advertised and the taste was still very aromatic). The only thing as I am obssessed with details - for that high price a little nicer decoration with the dried vegetables would be in order.
