Tagami — Restaurant in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

We stumbled upon this restaurant as we where looking for a nice place to eat. We did not have a reservation however we where lucky and the waiter was able to offer us a table. We where seated but and then left alone. We then received a Menu after 10 minutes…Bare in mind it was not a busy night. We then where given the Menu and left again for another 10 minutes without being attended too… finally someone took our order, drinks, Appetizers and mains without much attention (no frills). We had the Zamburinas (Absolutely delicious). During eating our Appetizers the waiter came and took both our chopsticks and mounted something that is suppose to facilitate the use he explained. This came as somewhat as a surprise as we where mid dinner and both very familiar on how to eat with chopsticks …however we decided to let it slide. When we finished our starters someone came to take our plates. I was having a Roll for a main and my boyfriend a Ramen. The waiter came again just before our mains came and gave us a knife and fork. When we finished our bill was given to us, we paid and left. No communication from there side … Conclusion: food was really good but service absolutely horrible. DECEPCIONANTE

Me lo habían vendido muy bien, pero bueno....aquí vamos

1. Mi reserva era dentro, así estaba garantizada, la camarera (bastante antipática y con 0 conocimientos) de una manera muy borde me sentó en la terraza como no, en una mesa torcida.

2. Tienes cerveza japonesa? No, lo que hay es cruzcampo y otra ya veo cual es. Vale tráeme por favor una cerveza y una CLARA. Llega con una Shandy...se le dice y la respuesta por supuesto es: ES LO QUE HAY.

3. No deja las cartas, a los 10 minutos llega el 'Maitre' con las cartas diciendo a voz viva y muy borde 'no hay ostras ni buey de mar'. Lógicamente no pasa nada si no hay género, el problema es decirlo en mal tono y antes de dar al menos las buenas noches.

4. Se pide la comida, el precio es el lógico para un lugar de 'calidad' se pide un tartar de atún y 3 rolls distintos. Se le indica al 'maitre' que en la carta el 33 y 34 (foto) es lo mismo y solo cambia el título...que si nos puede decir la diferencia entre ambos. La respuesta del señor es : Ustedes no entienden, cambia el título que es la parte de arriba....seguramente el hombre estaba ocupado, hablando por teléfono como lo hizo durante toda la noche.

5. Se pide una segunda ronda de bebidas que 25 minutos después no habían llegado...(ni la comida, lo cual fue queja recurrente de varias mesas). Me levanto a recordarlo , me las traen indicando que son invitación. Buen punto, pero no es lo que buscaba, una disculpa para empezar habría estado bien.

6. 40 minutos después llega el tartar , muy rico. El puntazo es las tostadas horteras en bolsa plástica para un entrante de 21.50 euros.

7. Los Rolls los trajeron en espacio de una hora y 20 minutos. Es decir, 2 horas de reloj para un entrante y 3 rolls. Pésimo timing y peor servicio.

8. Reconocer la calidad de la comida. Muy buena. Empañada por el servicio pobre.

9. Al final de la noche llegó otro camarero, un chico con barba y rapado, que si habría estado desde el principio, otro gallo cantaría. 10 puntos para él. El maitre? Hablaba por teléfono claro.

10. Muy posiblemente no volveré y relataré mi experiencia a quien pueda.

11. no, no estaban llenos ni desbordados, un restaurante de esta categoría deberia saber medir...

This is not a Japanese restaurant but a Peruvian street kitchen where: plates are filled with mayonesa and sauces that are not mentioned in the menu where a glass of wine is something between 7-14,5cl without change to taste and approve (and they charge for 16cl) where allergens are not marked correctly in the menu (stay a way as a gluten intolerant) where the waiters do not explain the menu but blame you for not understanding it (even it is filled with misinformation

stay away and go to any Chinese sushi...
