I am absolutely mind blown by this experience. The food is Michelin / Gault Millau level and incredibly affordable, in a cosy, traditional, vibrant experience with lovely staff.
We had more than 12 pinchos - some were on display, which you pick&choose basically and some were from the menu. The ‘low temperature cooked salmon’ in passion fruit marinade was SO good that I good it twice and the chef was kind to offer us an extra dish - the salmon tartare with wasabi ‘ice-cream’ on top. It was mind blowing! I have eaten at Michelin restaurant before and I think that the creativity and the techniques of the chef are already at that level.
The pinchos reinvent in a creative way Spanish cuisine - with a lot of twists with fish, sea food and veggies.
There are also options for vegetarians! We are normally vegetarian and eat fish from once in a while and we had a wide selection here. The pinchos are between 2-6 euro each, and I recommend to try various rather than one for each person at the table - the selection is great.
I also recommend their wine selection - we got a dry, white wine that was only 10% alcohol and went really well with the diversity of the food.
The service was very fast and the ladies serving were just so sweet and kind! The chef also came to present to us various dishes and his humility and kindness really made us look at him with a lot of respect.
Thank you for this experience, and I really hope that your food will get to a lot on people’s tables. You deserve it so much and please...
Read moreI absolutely loved everything about the restaurant. The food was extremely creative, with a unique touch between texture, smells, taste, and even the presentation. To the point that it could be considered as an entire experience. The food is also served very fast, and the staff is really friendly.
I’ve been to Michelin restaurants in the past and I can comfortably say that the food at Tasca De Pincho en Pincho is at the same level. But with the nice addition that it is very affordable.
I would only not recommend this restaurant to people who are looking for something comfortable and familiar. If you’re looking for a high quality, unique gastronomic experience this is the...
Read moreThe word "Pincho" in Spanish usually translates as a spike or prong, but when it comes to food it is more accurate to translate it as "small serving" like finger sandwiches. You can sit inside or outside. The food are these delicious small portions starting at about 3€, e.g. a slice of french bread topped with cold cuts, sauce, tomato and a small egg. They also serve sandwiches with excellent bread as well as other larger dishes but I can't review then as we didn't have any of that. They have a variety of beers, unfortunately they do not carry the excellent "Dorada" local beer. Fortunately they did have "Alhambra Reserva 1925" as close to artisanal beer as you can get, the label is embossed in the glass, even though the glass says Mahou, another Spanish beer. Their hours struck me as odd since they have a very large hotel right next door and they are located in a shopping area just one block from a mall. Will have to go back and try some of their other offerings. Puedes sentarte dentro o fuera.
