Utopía 8090 — Restaurant in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

This has to go down as the worst restaurant experience I have ever had, appalling, They have no idea how to read what is happening at the the tables in their restaurant, Bringing mains out, when people at the table had not even finished their starters, we said no we are not ready, but it was shoved onto the table anyway, and it was tasteless, we all left it, We were not asked if their was a problem with it or not. We were asked if we wanted desert, when we said no the bill was promptly left on the table with a card machine at the ready, we were not finished our drinks so we're not ready to go, we said not yet, they went but were back again within a few mins, it was not even busy, unbelievable. And they were rude Would avoid this place...

The location of the restaurant is not exceptional even if it is almost in front of the sea. Unfortunately it is located in a part below the road and therefore it is not easy to locate it. Very helpful and friendly service that speaks two languages: English and Spanish. The quality of sushi and sashimi is high, I would say almost above the average of the island of Tenerife. Environment not very well kept but with lots of details and background music. Recommended for the quality of the food and the serenity of the place. They accept credit card and they also do business billing. The Sashimi in particular is recommended. I give 4 stars for the location that does not have a dedicated parking space but very close to the other side...

We had a very bad experience at the place. The manager of the place Javi was very rude and very unwelcoming. Food was mostly bland. We ordered 3 different food, but surprisingly all of them had almost similar sauce but came in a different plating. As an asian I always run away from restaurants as soon as I see many different asian kitchen art served at the same place. It never works out, since asian kitchens are different in taste. In Budhhabar I saw 3 different kitchens Chinese, Japanese & Thai. Jack of all master of none. Still gave it a try since the place was closest. Food standard was at a level of fast food chain like wok to wok. Never again will go back to the restaurant. Absolutely, not worth...
