This place is absolutely great. I've been massively amused by the absolute liars that have posted anti-tourist one-star reviews. I speak enough Spanish to get by but was treated absolutely wonderfully, really friendly, kind service and the offer to speak English if I wanted to. While I was there a table paid their bill without speaking any Spanish and were treated really well, leaving very happily. Go here. The food is great and the staff are lovely. Bar 11 est sans conteste mon restaurant de tapas préféré à Séville. C’est un lieu où l’on revient encore et encore, tant pour la qualité de la cuisine que pour l’ambiance unique qui y règne. Le flamenquín algabeño, qui contient de la pringa, est un pur délice, généreux et savoureux comme on en trouve rarement. Quant aux mejillones rellenos, ils sont tout simplement incontournables : gourmands, parfaitement assaisonnés, et pleins de caractère, à l’image de la maison.

Mais au-delà des assiettes, toujours copieuses et pleines de goût, ce qui rend ce bar si spécial, c’est l’équipe. Jesus et toute son équipe sont d’une gentillesse et d’une attention rares. On se sent accueilli comme un habitué, même lors de la première visite. Il y a dans ce lieu une vraie âme andalouse, simple, sincère et conviviale, sans chichis mais avec le cœur.

Comme l’indique si bien la vitrine : « Ici, ne cherchez pas le luxe. Le luxe est dans la cuisine. » Et c’est exactement ça.
