Bar La Ilustre — Restaurant in Seville

Wow! This restaurant is stylishly decorated and offers incredible flavor experiences in both food and drinks. I don’t even know where to begin – maybe with the house IPA, since I’m a fan of craft beer.

My original plan was to try several different beers, but the first one I ordered – La Illustre IPA – hit my taste buds so perfectly that I just had to stick with it and enjoy a few more pints. Sadly, it’s not available in bottles — I’m definitely going to miss that flavor!

The food is also something the owner can be truly proud of. Traditional dishes with a personal twist and some fresh experimental creations. I started with the hummus topped with dried olives as a starter, and had the shrimp burger as my main. An excellent combo!

My daughter ordered the Caesar salad and my partner had the shrimp noodle wok. The Caesar salad was massive — I’ve never seen one that big! And the flavor… absolutely the best Caesar we’ve ever had. I didn’t have room left to try the noodle wok myself, but my partner was full of praise for it as well.

We also had oxtail spring rolls as a shared appetizer, served on a leaf of romaine lettuce — a beautiful and tasty start to the meal.

The service was also top-notch. We felt genuinely welcomed and appreciated, and there was time for warm and attentive interaction with the staff.

It was our first time at Bar la Ilustre today and had a fabulous dining experience. We chose a red wine to pair with a light lunch which was spectacular. We started with a salad made of fresh greens, nuts and just the right touch of acidity. Then we shared a wings tapas which was delicious, juicy and very flavorful. Afterwwards I tried the Beef Burger with an egg, bacon, and other special ingredients including a black sesame bun which holded together all the perfect ingredients. Juicy & delicious I belive are two great words to describe it. Of course this great food experience couldn't be turned into reality without Azahara's great service! Nos sorprendió enormemente este Bar con bastante swing y mucho estilo.

En una de las esquinas de la calle correduría casi en la prolongación de la propia calle feria, encontramos este lindo local. Y lo es por varias razones que el cliente puede comprobar solo con verlo.

Es evidente que su decoración diente un estilo muy particular de tal modo que nos recuerda un poco a las cervecerías estilo alemán. Es evidente que el sistema de grifos y su mobiliario evoca al menos al ello. Un motivo más para deducir que estaríamos ante un Bar con todas las letras.

Queda claro entonces que su sistema de grifos ya adelanta el posible abanico de cervezas artesanas del que uno puede disponer. Por lo que, nos pareció un acierto bastante reseñable.

La ilustre oferta una carta en tres idiomas (Español, Inglés y Francés), no es poca cosa. Este pequeño detalle agradece al visitante de diferentes nacionalidades una mejor comprensión en la elección que a veces resulta tan tortuosa cuando no se dispone del nivel del idioma autóctono necesario.

Pero por si no fuera poco, esta carta tiene diferentes tipos de secciones agrupada en dos grandes grupos: Bebidas (Carta de Cervezas, Vinos y Cócteles, Combinados) y Comidas (Salados, para compartir, postres).

Es verdaderamente fascinante saber que podemos también el el propio local tanto en su interior como en su exterior. Mesas cómodas y muy resultonas. Las mesas de madera de su interior inclusive son muy propicias para llevar un libro y disfrutar de una buena lectura mientras degustamos nuestro comensal o refrigerio.

El local queda perfectamente iluminado con una disposición muy adecuada y elegantemente distribuida, sin la cual, no sería posible un completo disfrute.

Personal y atención al cliente muy atento, dispuesto, cercano y majo.

Es un lugar muy propicio para pasar la tarde con algunos acompañantes. Maravillosa propuesta tan cerca de la zona centro y escasos metros del transporte público...
