We were famished, ready to eat anything that crossed our path, and wanted something close to our hostel—quick and simple. Spotting this little café, we figured it looked cozy enough, so we went inside, hoping for a decent meal. A waiter greeted us and showed us to our seats. So far, so good.
We ordered a chocolate caliente, a frappuccino, and a croissant—nothing too complicated. The hot chocolate arrived pretty fast, and we took a sip. It was… well, just fine. Nothing to write home about, but at least it was hot. We settled in, waiting for the rest of our order.
And we waited. And waited. And waited some more.
Finally, the frappuccino arrived, and oh boy, I wish it hadn't. Let’s just say it earned the dubious honor of being ‘the worst frappuccino’ we've ever had. We tried to shrug it off—maybe the croissant would save the day? But as the minutes dragged on, it became clear we were in for another round of waiting.
Eventually, we had to remind the waiter that the croissant still hadn't made its grand appearance. And even after another lengthy wait, it finally arrived—warm-ish and, like the hot chocolate, "just fine."

Read moreI have note been here twice. Some of the staff speak English, and they all smile and are helpful. A lot of options to choose from: deserts, milkshakes, smoothies, toast, salads, sandwiches, cakes, pancakes etc. See the pictures to see the meny from the day I were there. Seating is both in and outside, however some of the inside seats are almost outside due to the large open windows with the sills as bench. Comfortable chairs. They also sell some clothes and bags if any interest. The green salad I had was a big bowl, mostly salad. If you would like salad, I recommend ordering salad and something else and share it. Milkshake was ok, but consider something else to spend your calories and money on. The orange juice of course freshly pressed and superb. I've also had the yogurt bowl here and it was very good, with fresh fruit and...
Read moreBeing under the weather from a few too many beverages from the night before we decided to go for convenience and try “ pikis labis “ next to our hostel. I was looking forward to a greasy fry to cure myself from last nights antics so I ordered the English breakfast, which should be called the s* breakfast. The food was stone cold and not only looked like plastic but tasted like it,I’m fairly sure the sausages were 90% rubber. The whole thing must have been cooked using a microwave. I don’t know whether they cut The only sausage in half to make it look like a more generous portion or to hide the glare of the sunlight reflecting on the plastic outside layer. I’m still not sure were the mushrooms even real as I didn’t care to try. I don’t know how it was legal to charge us for that never mind paying...
