Cold and below average food, and very slow service.
Our server took our order shortly after we arrived and our drinks arrived quickly. After approximately 40 minutes, our drinks were empty, our food hadn't arrived (2 sandwiches and a tapas), and our server hadn't returned. I was able to flag someone down from the kitchen who brought us two more drinks but my Spanish is poor and I was unable to effectively ask for an update on our food order. We were finally able to flag down our original server and ask about our food who said there was a system issue and the ticket for our order had only just printed, when the 2 additional drinks were entered.
The food arrived approximately 30 seconds later. The food was cold, the pork tough, and the sauce congealed. I'm guessing the food had been sitting for approximately 40 minutes and was missed by the server. Hopefully, for others, this was the case because if this is their typical quality it'd be pretty disappointing. I wonder why they decided to serve us old and cold food instead of re-doing the order and bringing us fresh food?
Overall, it wasn't terrible (we ate it all as we didn't have time to order something else) but it wasn't good either. Every other meal we've had in Sevilla over the past 3 days has been Good to Exceptional which makes this the worst meal we've had in the city.
I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 to give them the benefit of the doubt that this was a one-off occurrence but, given the abundance of quality places to eat in the area, I'd recommend avoiding El...
Read moreCame here for tapas and drinks. Was truly impressed. Had several dishes that are a must have, to include the potatoes (semi mashed) with tuna, the little fish called Boquerón, and the octopus salad that resembles ceviche, however I was told it’s different. Also had the olives with chile and anchovies (extremely tangy and delicious). Everything was a hit for my wife, daughter and I. Next time I want to try the shrimp dish and muscles too, but we got full as we ordered two of everything. I hope you all try these dishes as I post this in May 2025. By the way, Alberto, the bartender who also served our plates is cool, professional and personable. Thank...
Read moreDO NOT COME HERE. There is a DIFFERENT menu in English for tourists which has a CONSIDERABLE mark-up in price than the menu in Spanish.
The menu in English requires you to order entire plates, rather than individual tapas.
Despite ordering in Spanish (and being a Spanish resident) the waiter blatantly lied to my face and claimed that the Spanish menu was “the old menu” so I could not even order a tapa of tortilla and I would have to order an entire tortilla.
That is shameful...
