I do not understand the positive reviews about this restaurant. In Spain there are so many good restaurants, dedicated to offering gluten free food, which made this experience a real disappointment. When you go to a restaurant that specialises in only gluten free food you expect to taste something that you won’t have in other non-gluten free restaurants. But this restaurant brought me back to the early 2000s and reminded me of my childhood where there were no gluten free options and products were so dry it either broke when you looked at it or was so hard it could break windows. In a dedicated gluten free restaurant you would not expect to be served gluten free bread that brings back all negative childhood experiences you had being a coeliac child. The food was really dry, tasteless and chewy. The only good thing is that I did not had to worry if it was actually gluten free or not. On top of that the service was very poor as well. Unfriendly and way too rushed where I felt rushed out of the restaurant. Before I could finish my starter the main dish was already being served. And when they enquired about how I would like my dish it got served the opposite way. I would not recommend going here even if you are a coeliac. In a big city like Sevilla there are plenty of alternatives where you can eat gluten free and have a...
Read moreUnbelievable, could not recommend more - especially for gluten free or coeliacs. Amazing tasting food, amazing service.
Long story: Went with my coeliac girlfriend and was sat next to the bar. The manager/owner (who is also coeliac and whose name I regretfully don’t remember) took time to explain to us about how the whole menu is gluten free and what to order. After we ate, he hung out with us and related to my girlfriend about his experience being coeliac, explained the process behind the dishes and also his troubles with trying to master a GF brioche bun for his burgers. He then gave us business cards for a local GF bakery + confectionary. Girlfriend was emotional leaving the restaurant as it is hard enough for us to find decent tasty gluten free food let alone at home, never mind being understood about concerns over cross contamination. We will be scrapping any plans for lunch tomorrow to come back here, and are seriously planning to return to Seville to dine here again for...
Read moreIt's been a while since I've had to walk out of a restaurant for poor food but here we are. The croquettes were bland, the tequenos dry and bland, steak fatty, and noodle wok as salty as the sea but still bland with no spices or flavour.
On top of that the waiter was less than friendly during the ordering process and mostly unapologetic when faced with the criticism apart for a single quiet sorry before we left.
Their only saving grace was the orange juice and sangria.
I am shocked at how highly this place is rated, my girlfriend has been coeliac for 15 years and can cook better seasoned food with half a spice rack. There are far better options for coeliacs in Seville, Filo Sandwichaira, Ananas and Estragon to name a few.
Please, coeliacs, allow yourselves better flavour and service...
