After three weeks of searching for a flamenco show that didn’t feel overly touristy, we finally stumbled upon La Madriguera de Mai, and it turned out to be the perfect choice for our first experience.
From the moment we walked through the doors, the intimate setting captivated us, making us feel as though we were part of something special. The performances were absolutely stunning—each artist brought incredible energy and authenticity. The guitarist’s precision, the singer’s raw emotion, and the dancer’s passion worked together seamlessly, creating a spellbinding experience.
The food was another highlight—homemade, authentic, and delicious. The portions were just right, allowing us to savor every bite without feeling overwhelmed.
What stood out the most, however, was the warmth of the atmosphere. The entire evening felt familiar, like being with family. It wasn’t just a performance—it was an immersion into the heart of flamenco culture.
If you’re looking for a genuine flamenco experience paired with fantastic food, La Madriguera de Mai is an absolute must. We couldn’t have asked for a better...

Every now and then you stumble across somewhere that you want to see truly flourish.

Everything was top notch. This is not a commercial place, and is a more intimate setting which makes a huge difference. They charge €35 per person which includes the show, a drink and a choice of 2 items to eat from the menu, which is a great deal. I visited without a reservation and Maria was kind enough to accommodate my mother and me. It was our last night in Andalucia, and what a memorable night it became. Highly recommended on...
