Maravilla Social Club — Restaurant in Seville

Bad service. We came in the restaurant quite late after our dinner to try some typical Peruvian dishes which we saw they had. Only for a short dessert and drinks time. When we ordered only 2 drinks with 3 people (of which one tinto de verano grande to share) the main guy behind the bar and I think the manager said 'Muy Barrato' to his colleague and heard that. Like we were some cheap people. After ordering 2 dishes which I really wanted to try I went to pay (after 30 mins sitting there). I had to pay 3 times service fee of nearly 1 euro. This was not on the menu online. Because you have to open the menu via phone. When I complained about that the girl kept saying it is on the menu, but the physical one that they didn't gave us. They couldn't make an exception for our short stay there 'because of her boss'. The manager came and said again something bad, 'that we barely ate anything ya' (like that was a problem for him) So I explained him that we already had dinner and just wanted to try something on the menu. Nowhere I had to pay for service fee in the city and then here in this place suddenly yes and that for such a short time we stayed plus not even on the terrace but inside. Eventually they said we didn't have to pay the service but that we never had to come back lol. Bad Bad service and attitude of staff here. I don't think when you have a service fee you should in the start already say something like 'ahh barrato' that your customer can hear. Especially when it's late and it's so obvious we...

Relatar nuestra experiencia en este restaurante durante esta Semana Santa 2022. Antes de todo, como no había sitio, tuvimos que espera un momento para poder sentarnos pero en ese tiempo de espera, nadie nos aviso de que la carta se veía reducida por Semana Santa de forma que puedan tener un servicio más ágil. Cuando nos hemos podido instalar en la terraza (aunque nadie ha limpiado la mesa que acababa de ser utilizada y hemos tenido que solicitar que nos la limpien), hemos escaneado el código QR para visualizar la carta (completa). Al realizar el pedido es cuando nos indicaron que la carta estaba reducida en Semana Santa. En fin, esto se hubiera podido evitar pero tampoco es gran cosa. Pedimos un bacalao y unos noodles que sí que estaban en la carta de Semana Santa. Tras un buen rato esperando, hemos preguntado si todavía faltaba mucho porque la espera se nos hacía eterna. La camarera nos dice que ahora lo reclamaba en la cocina. Al poco rato nos llega un planto que no habíamos pedido (pollo) que por supuesto rechazamos y seguimos esperando nuestro pedido. Cuando por fin llega la comida (tras casi una hora de espera), la camarera nos pide disculpas y nos dice que nos harán un gesto por la espera. La comida no estaba mala pero la cantidad era muy poca y la verdad nos quedamos con hambre. Al terminar nos dicen que para compensar la espera nos invitan a un chupito. Nos pareció absolutamente ridículo ofrecer un chupito ya que es algo que se ofrece siempre en cualquier restaurante decente ; es más, no tomamos alcohol por lo cual preguntamos si nos pueden invitar al postre en su lugar. Nos denegaron ofrecer el postre bajo pretexto de que no estaba la gerente y siguen insistiendo en ofrecer el chupito. En fin pedimos la cuenta y no nos cobraron los dos refrescos pero sí que nos cobraron por el “servicio”, ¡vaya ironía! En fin, desaconsejable la pésima atención y servicio y la poca comida. Vamos que pagar casi 30€ para dos platos que se parecen más a entrantes para luego tener que comer otra cosa en otro lugar… ya me...

I see how they are trying to offer a menu that is creative and different, but I just don't think the execution was great. To name a couple of reasons for my low rating:

Portions were too small; rather increase the price instead of leaving people hungry. Ordered hummus and there was hardly anything to dip it with (4 tiny pieces of lavash). Who eats hummus without bread or anything? Had to ask for bread multiple times, which is just annoying. Service was nice, but too slow. In my opinion they were understaffed.
