As a Canadian tourist, I was looking for something different, and I had the chance to find Beatriz activity by accident. I went twice to Friday night session and I had an amazing time, and made some friends. Beatriz and her model were very kind and created such a nice atmosphere with jazz and wine. Beatriz is an exceptional artist, but her session focuses on emotions and acceptance. No pressure. I have been to other live drawing, but this is the best I've had. The group is usually a mix of locals, expats, and travelers. Some people were drawing for the first time of their lives. At the end, we all chat around our pictures. Raquel, one of the gifted regulars, even accepted to give me one of her sketches. The old building is a community of different artists, including wood-working and flamenco lessons. Ask your way around if you get lost. I would recommend this activity to anyone who is curious, open-minded, and looking to try something older than Jesus. Thank you so much Beatriz for everything. A friend told me he was looking for life drawing classes. Not long after, I started seeing posters/leaflets across seville for these weekly sessions so of course I shared them with him and I decided why not give it a go myself? I am soooo glad I gave it a go. Definitely put myself out of my comfort zone but it was such an incredible experience. I have no background in art at all, so I was afraid I was going to be so bad and feel judged, but I received nothing but a warm welcome and words of encouragement. Working with Bea has been amazing and lovely! No worries if you are an expat, just visiting Sevilla, a beginner at drawing or more advanced.
