Invisible service and zero communication. I tried so hard not to leave this review, but I sat at Makombo for nearly 50 minutes without a single server acknowledging me — not even a quick “we’ll be right with you.” Meanwhile, two tables on both sides of me, both seated after I arrived, had their drink and food orders taken first. I literally watched servers stop to chat and explain the rain and flooding delays to other tables, but not once did anyone think to do the same for me. They walked past my table over and over, looking right over me like I didn’t exist.
Around the 40-minute mark, I finally had to wave someone down just to order a latte. No apology, no explanation — nothing. When I eventually stood up and went to the waiter myself to give my food order, it was out of pure frustration. She still had the nerve to say well it’s because they were before you, that is a flat out lie. Proving you truly didn’t care or see me because you didn’t even realize how long I’d been waiting. I walked in the storm to come there because I heard great things, only to be invisible. They did comp my latte, which I appreciated, but by then the experience had already soured completely. I left without eating. I understand bad weather can slow things down, but selective communication and being made to feel invisible is...
Read moreThe food is good, but the service provided left us with much to say. We had a reservation with thefork (30% off in food) at 14h, we arrived around 13h30 and the first thing we did was inform of our reservation in the app and ask if we could eat at that time and have the discount anyway, otherwise we would have come back 30min later (obviously), the restaurant was also half empty at that time. They told us straight away “yeah no problem”, but in the end they didn’t apply the discount and refused to do so, since our booking was at 14h. Again, we told them that we informed and asked before we entered the place. Appears that the “client is always right” is a type of rule that doesn’t apply here, all of this because of 7,74€. Also the different employees that spoke to us were extremely rude the entire time. Another scam for tourists, but even if I lived here, I wouldn’t come back after such a...
Read moreA tourist trap, try to avoid. They charge a lot of money for small amounts and charge even We got the azul bowl which was 11Euros to go and they essentially gave us 75 grams of yogurt and 75 grams of fruits in 2 different boxes, that we had to mix ourselves. The yogurt tasted bland, wasnt mixed and was something i could easily have gotten at the supermarket.
We also asked for a flatwhite, which was 4Euros and they gave us a cortado, in a very small cup.
We then told them that it wasnt a flat white, and they then made us pay even more to get it fixed.
So they charged us an extra 5 euros to get both coffees fixed.
At the end, 2 coffees and 2 portions of yogurt and fruits cost 35 euros.
Try the many other local breakfast restaurants around Sevilla and literally down the street, they are more authentic and prioritize customer service over trying to get ever...
