Both my partner and I love this place!. Of all the places we have eaten at, in Seville, this has got to be the best one recommended by a stranger on Facebook. We booked a reservation for lunch and arrived early as the staffs were setting up the restaurant. Elana, our helpful and pleasant waitress, promptly sat us inside under their skylight. The decor was minimalist, cheerful, and unpretentious. The dining room was showered with natural lights from the skylight. We asked for a dry red and dry wine by the glass. The wine was just spot on good.
We really enjoyed all of the dishes we had ordered(see photos). Elana was very helpful assisting us with the menu choices.
The oxtail donut(don’t let the word donut fools you. There’s nothing ordinary about this dish) was as so good that we wish we had order two. The oxtail inside a thin outer “donut” crust was flavorful and tender. The sauce drizzled on top added so much flavor to the dish. We order the cod and that was amazing(drizzled with a coconut cream sauce and a spicy adobo sauce). The salmon tartare and chicken wings were so tasty. The steak was perfectly grilled to order. We topped our meal off with a lava cake. The lava cake was good. It was not too sweet, just as we prefer. Our compliments to the chef(s) for all the wonderful dishes.
Thanks Elana for taking good care of us. We will come back to Sal Gorda Halo the next time we are in Sevlilla and will be sure to recommend this restaurant to others.
Note worthy: Prices are good for the quality and quantity of food. The restaurant looks expensive, yet the foods were not. Casual dining...

Now, let’s talk about the food. The Rabo del Torro donuts were a delightful surprise, a unique twist on a classic Spanish dish. The combination of flavors and textures was simply outstanding.
The chicken wings were perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and they paired wonderfully with the selection of dipping sauces.
As for the croquettes, they were heavenly. Creamy on the inside with a crispy exterior, they were a true delight. The variety of fillings offered something for every palate.
Sal Gorda Halo in Sevilla exceeded our expectations in terms of both food and service. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to savor innovative Spanish cuisine while enjoying top-notch...
Read moreWe sat inside with 1 other table at 20:00 when they opened. The waiter was very kind and tried to help us. I’m giving him 4 stars because he was trying his best to serve us. First, they were out of 3 mains. My Sea Bass was delicious, the croquette was also delicious. My husband ordered the pork. They served my meal and then served the other table. The waiter apologized that the pork would be out soon. When it came, it was room temperature, bordering cold but the potatoes were hot… ??? Why ? My husband was honest when asked and the waiter apologized. The waiter told the chef, and he literally shrugged it off. If this happened at any decent restaurant, the chef would come out and apologize personally. Clearly they don’t care. The food was pricey considering the amazing food you can get here in Seville. It doesn’t warrant a...
