Restaurante La Hostería de Laurel — Restaurant in Seville

This place is a tourist trap and ripped us off. We had some great food in Seville but this was by far the worst experience we had. We ordered the large prawns for a treat but he bought out 2 plates claiming he thought we wanted 2 portions as we had pointed to a table of 6 people to say we wanted the same as on that table. He bought us 2 large plates for 2 people. We asked why we would order so much he just said it wasn’t his fault. The prawns were Luke warm and unpleasant to eat and we felt a bit sick after eating g them. The rest of the food was ok but over priced. The worst thing was the appalling attitude of the waiter. Waiter tried using the language barrier against us. My friend and I were trying to ball on a budget and saw that steak was €6.60 but didn’t understand that it was for every 100g and they would only cook an entire slab (1kg). A wonderful surprise to find out that our snack was actually a €66.60 1kg steak. The waiter claims to have told us about this but he really did not explain the situation after we insisted that the total price was that low. Interesting experience here, felt very authentic, food was rather overpriced , drinks normal priced ; you pay a premium for the historicity of the place it seems as food prices seem quite a bit higher than elsewhere; , waiter was friendly enough ; place is away from the Main Street if you’d rather avoid tourist crowds further in.
