So disappointed!

12 of us came to seville for a weeks holiday and this was the most awful experience & food we had the whole time. Only 1 of our group (of 12) said their food was ok, (just ok).

I complained immediately, which is what we do if the food is poor, I don't like to run and snipe later, we prefer to give a chance to respond, however i was told there was no manager on site. So basically my complaint fell on deaf ears, we didn't even receive an apology on the night.

The staff did said the manager would call me the following day, which he did not. (Edit) he called 2 days after and apologised profusely once he'd read my review.

I appreciate the call from the manager, but its just not good enough, we spent around €460 and the call doesn't repay the cost or fix the experience.

I will say the staff were nice on the evening but they offered no apology, no solution or recompense. Why was no manager was on site on one of the busiest weeks in Seville?

Any of my negative reviews are intended to help to improve quality rather than just to criticise.

It's close to the cathedral, so it's a bit of a tourist trap. There are lots of nice places in Seville, this isn't one of them!

I hope they put things in place to improve but until then...

Badly disappointed--cheated even. The food was OK, but pricing was deceptive and the service was not in good faith. We ordered "una jara de sangria". After several minutes wait, the waiter brought us a pitcher of Margaritas. I explained that we ordered sangria, not margaritas. He explained that they don't have a pitcher of sangria, therefore we ordered margaritas. No we did not. AND the pitcher of Margaritas was €28! He should have explained when we ordered instead of using it as an excuse to serve the more expensive option. We ordered guacamole and chips, which never arrived. I ordered one taco al pastor and one taco vegeteriano. In the menu, they are mix and match, any 3 tacos for €15. Because I ordered only 2, he brought me two plates of 3, at €15 per plate, three times as much food for 3 times as much money, The food was OK, not excellent. A meal that should have cost about €25 cost ¢76. I feel that their menu and service are designed to mislead tourists into spending more than they intend, rather than serve good food at a fair price. In other words, a rip off. We were sorely disappointed and felt cheated. I recommend avoiding...

2023.April.08 visited here(*). The bill was wrong (charged more than the menu prices then reduced back after we queried)👀; Service was good enough👍; taste of 3 tacos we chose - COCHINITA TACO is the best(octopus one is a bit chewy); Beef tongue is quite rich; TRIO OF SALBUTES 👍; lemon margarita 👎 ; beer modelo price has good flavor but price was a bit high 🤨(€4.5 there was no price printed to check ahead). The prices were wrong for the 3 items we ordered (higher than the printed menu and website menu https://www.sedemexico.es/en/menu/). The bill was printed off the payment system, so maybe everyone got the wrong price 🤔. The waiter apologized and corrected the bill.

• edit note: I wrote the review on the day or the day after, but just recently found Google policy somehow decided not to upload it; I still don’t know why it was automatically filtered out, all I know is the initial rating was 4, and the content bill part I did not have the extra brackets. I made these 2 changes and added the visit date, tried again, it now apparently gets uploaded. This is to explain to the shop owner - I don’t know how else to respond...
