La Maror de Sitges — Restaurant in Sitges

I really liked this place. As to describe the visit to this place i cant really be factual and unbiased. But the weather was super nice, the place is right at the beach, all the people working there are super nice and in a great mood. Food was nothing special but good. It would be not fair to expect some unusual spanish dining experience here. Bute i got served what i paid for. More than just satisfactory. I enjoyed it much. I had tuna salad which was just really the normal tuna salad, chorizo which was actually really really good. French fries and patata bravas were good (nothing special obviously) mussles were super fresh, my king prawn pasta was really ok. I think expecting an amazing dining experience wouldnt be suitable here, but if you are looking for a good place decent food for fair price, its a great choice to be. We came here for some patatas bravas, we also had some padron peppers and some bread and tomato, light tapas. I had a glass of wine too. All the food we had is really simple but really really good. The atmosphere on the sea front is beautiful of course. Cristina was the waitress and her energy and charisma are amazing, greeted us so warmly, quickly and helped us order super fast. Clearly busy but efficient, clearly seeing to everyone without any delay, a seasoned professional. Having working in some of the worlds busiest restaurants, I can say for sure it is hard to see someone more adept at their profession than Cristina, so for us at least, this was the real highlight. Didn’t greet us after sitting, instead asking if we’ll be eating. When we replied that it’d just be drinks, she said she has to check with her boss. We immediately felt unwelcome. Then she came back and said that the table is actually meant for food and, for some reason made it clear that we could stay if we were just going to order coffee. We said we’d order other drinks. Apparently that was sufficient for us to stay and spend our money. What a bizarre reception and backwards mentality.
