I went here with my girlfriend around 10:00. They got us a table, and we sat down. This day I was feeling a bit ill so I couldn't really eat any savory food, so I asked the waiter if I could just order a desert, I even told him that it was completely fine if they don't allow that, I could have ordered the mussels or something small. On the other hand, my girlfriend wanted to order normally, she wanted to order the fish menu.
So the waiter tells us to wait a second, comes back with another waiter. The other waiter takes everything from our table as if we're being kicked out, snatches the menu from both me and my girlfriend. He comes back with the desert menu for both of us, seemingly upset, and tells me that he will remember us next time we're trying to get in? Now I would have no problem ordering normally and not eating everything due to being sick, but what kind of behaviour is this that he takes away all of our menus and threathen us afterwards. My girlfriend wanted to walk out immediately after this, which I now agree that we should've done. If they want everyone to come in, spend 100-150€ on starters, main course, bottles of wine and desserts, then only allow reservations, if youre not happy with the amount of food that the table is ordering you can't insult them in their face. Also the deserts we're meh, just sweet cream with melted sugar on top and some art of sitges on the plate.
The food and drinks were 38€ in total, there will be no next time and I would not recommend this...
Read moreI came for a late lunch and ordered a bottle of wine and the lenguado (sole) which was recommended of the fresh fish available that day. The service was professional and polite but big problem with the fish quality. I wouldn't go here again. See my photos.
If you're familiar with sole, it has four filets, two larger than the others. In my case, the two small ones were edible and cooked correctly, but fairly flavorless. The two larger that are from the bottom side of the fish were grainy like sand inside, completely inedible.
When I brought it to the attention of the restaurant, they tried to explain that it's eggs because it's breeding season and that some people like to eat it and some don't, as if it were a delicacy and my tastes were too simple.
This isn't a roe sack, this is the main part of the flesh of the fish, jellied due to poor nutrition in the fish after breeding season when it spent its energy. It's just bad quality product. It probably was fresh, and it probably was cooked correctly, but it was a bad quality fish. It was 25 eur or 24, and they gave me a discount of about 2.70 eur. It was 60% of the weight of the fish that was not edible and I left hungry. The vegetables were nice but clearly reheated...
Read moreThe man who seated us seemed nice, the rest of the service was laughably bad.
We sat down and the waiter seemed impatient to get our order, when he realised we were ordering starters first we tried to keep a menu to choose our mains and he refused to leave a menu with us saying he'd bring it back, he never did. Starter came, fish just mediocre. Since we had no menu we tried to order another starter from memory, they never brought it until we asked again. (all of this normally would have been fine, except they were just so rude)
When I tried to ask for the menu back from another waiter (in Spanish, I've spoken Spanish since the age of 5), I asked for el menú (South American word for menu, as I learned Spanish from Peruvians), at which point he looked at me like I had 3 heads, then corrected me and said "la carta".....unnecessary.
At that point the starter hadn't come, and trying to get the menu back was such a bad experience that we just decided to leave.
Horrible, wouldn't come back, if you don't like serving tourists...why work at a restaurant on the...
