If you're looking for an extremely reasonable tapas experience, then Bar Moon is definitely the place to go.
Apart from the prices the food is absolutely delicious.
We opted for eight plates between the two of us and the portions were perfectly sized and one was as delicious as the other, although the goat stew was the one that we both thought had the slight edge over all the others.
What really impressed us was the gap between the arrival of the dishes. They weren't all just brought to the table so you are overwhelmed by food. The staff obviously keep a close eye on how you are progressing so that just as you are finishing one plate, the next one arrives.
And the waiting staff possess personalities and a senses of humour that makes the experience all the more enjoyable.
Eight plates, two large beers and a glass of rosé for less than 50 euros for two people is not to be sniffed at.
We will definitely be back again as we really only scratched the surface of the thirty something plates Bar Moon has to offer. And they also do a full menu of burgers and other main dishes.
Tip generously, folks. The people who work there...
Read moreWe stumbled across Moon after the restaurant we originally wanted to go to was fully booked. We were initially a bit reluctant, as it is inside a kind of shopping complex and didn't look too promising, but our minds were quickly changed and we even came back a second time! One waiter in particular was brilliant with our 5-year-old daughter, and brought over a giant toy monkey "Moonkey" to sit at the table with us. Our daughter was delighted! And the food was fabulous too! Both times my husband and I shared 6 or 7 tapas between us - we especially loved the goat stew. Our daughter isn't a fan of the usual kids' menu options (always chicken nuggets and chips, fish fingers and chips...) so she had a grown-ups sized margarita pizza, and the left overs were kindly boxed up for us to take away. Good prices, excellent service, highly...
Read moreWe came here on our last night in Teguise and I wish we’d come earlier! We got 7 tapas and a jug of sangria between 2 of us and it came to just under €40 which was unbelievable. The Canarian potatoes and bravas potatoes are lovely, as is the beef with pepper sauce and the chorizo in wine. We also had the fried fish and the oyster which were fab but the goat stew was just amazing, completely melt in your mouth. Portion sizes are very generous too. I would 100% recommend this restaurant - the people who work there are so lovely and attentive. Definitely book though as we booked for 7pm and every table was...
