El Guachinche de Luis — Restaurant in Teguise

My my, what can I say... this place is a hidden gem!!! It's not one of those places you'll just stumble upon, but a little research helped us find it. My wife and I were in Lanzarote for 5 nights, we stayed at a 5 star hotel, went to multiple restaurants and this place was by far the best meal we had. The food was fantastic (all of it), the service was as good as the food and the place itself is very cozy and homely. I can't recommend it enough, unfortunately they are open only Monday to Friday and we went on a Friday so we couldn't go again (we would have loved to but we went home early Monday). If you enjoy excellent food and warm-friendly service then you have to try this place, oh yeah and the price... Luis is the perfect host. He takes pride in his service , his delishious food, his local produce, his daily specials which locals and visitors come to enjoy the care and flavors of lanzarote. If you are looking for local food with the friendliest service on the island look no further. The wine list is elalso excellent. Helpful staff so that I don't over-order, make the portion 1/2 size even though it was not on the menu as I wanted to try different things and it was worth it. Also very helpful for suggestions and timely taking care of any request.

Food was gooood. Rabbit was the most tasty that I had. Coffee at the end not something that I would order again

Not seafront restaurant and in front of the road, but the plastic wind protection around the place made it quiet and not windy.
