Unforgettably bad. We have been here many times over the years. With friends and family and I work at at hotel so I have sent countless tourists there over the years as well. Yesterday this has come to an end and here is why: We waited for our food for over two hours. After reminding them of our existence the food came with a little apology for the wait. I had ordered my burger well done and it came burnt, black like coal and completely dry inside. As if they had forgotten it on the grill. The waitress was unpleasant from the beginning, no smile at all, only to turn into plain rude later. After having had most of my dry burnt burger, with a cold slice of cheese on it that had clearly just been thrown on in attempt to finally deliver food quickly to the guests that had been forgotten, I lifted up the top of the bun and my son pointed out there was a hair on it. I am attaching the unfortunate foto I took. I pointed this out when asking for the bill. When the bill came they had discounted the burger but we were trying to get some sort of explanation for why things had gone so incredibly badly that night. We were friendly and polite, seeking an answer. This is when the rude waitress crumpled up the bill, threw it at us and told us to “just go away”. We did. Two of us returned later to pay the bill, because that’s not at all why it was about and we thought maybe she was just too stressed with so many people there and wanted to give her a chance and the benefit of the doubt. She repeated her rude behaviour saying she didn’t want the money and we should just leave. Not only will I not go back to this place, I will also not send any more customers their way. Shocking lack of people skills in a waitress and overall disappointment with food quality and lack of hygiene. With so many wonderful restaurants around there is no need to be subjected to such abominable treatment. From the answers they usually give to critical reviews you can see that they are clearly incapable of criticism, immature and rude to the core. But this review is necessary to warn other potential visitors not to waste their time and money on an unforgettably...
Read moreDisappointing visit to Leo’s burgers.
We were a group of 6 people and were seated right next to the kitchen with barely any airflow. We asked to move tables and the waitress denied it even though there was a table near the exit for 6 people with a slight adjustment of moving the table backwards to fit another chair in which they did anyway for the table we were seated at.
The menu is on a QR code which directs you to a website which I usually don’t mind but the website was terribly laid out and difficult to use. We found out after the fact they do have physical menus because the table next to us complained about the QR system too.
The waitresses didn’t really know much about the things they served us, they couldn’t even tell us what sauces were what when they just dumped them on the table. They told us one burger was the “rustic” bun and the other was brioche but we had to tell them it’s the other way around based on the pictures we saw on the QR menu.
The burgers were pretty bland (though they were juicy because they were cooked medium-rare) and hardly had any sauce on them (even though one of us paid extra for more sauce). They’re way too tall to fit in your mouth so they just fall apart.
The fries were the best part and were actually really good. The sauces, after we figured out which one was which because they couldn’t tell us, were also really good.
Overall a disappointing visit considering it won awards for best burger place on the island, we sadly won’t be back.
PS. The table behind us also felt the same way about the burger quality, and one of the party’ parents had a similar issue...
Read moreService was perfectly timed, everything that was ordered arrived, the service lady helped us decide what to eat and was perfectly knowledgable. Then there's the food. Michelin describe their one star restaurants as a restaurant in their opinion going out of your way to get to. This place should have a Michelin star. The burgers are out of this world, exactly how you like it, the other mains (I had the ribs) were also, absolutely the best had on the island in their own style sauce. Tacos perfect. Nachos perfect. It was all just so good I really had to write something somewhere. It was all served on time, at the same time, all hot, all quite unusually for Lanzarote all perfectly cooked. We didn't have to wait to be offered another drink, it was all just so well organised. And I also have to mention I am sure the menu has been crafted by someone really skilled. The entire gastronomy flows so well. You can literally throw darts at the starters and mains, snacks and burgers, and you'll get really good combinations every time. Will definitely...
