What a great spot to have stumbled upon! Between two synagogues in the Jewish quarter (one being the Sephardic Museum). GastroArt had local craft beer of Toledo, gelato, delicious sandwiches, local art work and much more. My first stop was from seeing a sign that say “mermelada de cerveza”. Beer marmalade!? I had to get some. A couple hours later I found myself in the same area and it was Siesta. Most restaurants were closing. But I remembered Gastro Art had food. I walked in and was greeted by Dimitri while noticing a sign for Sephardic cookies. First things first I needed a sandwich. I picked one with roasted eggplant and red peppers. It was what I needed and the bread used was so soft and tasty. Not to mention the local craft beer to top it off. Dimitri and Mariana were so fun and nice to meet. Great energy. I have been working in Mexico for the last year so with my broken Spanish the three of us talked about life and travel. It is beautiful the people you meet while traveling. I am so glad I stopped here a second time because this experience was better than any restaurant I’d of sat at a table quietly by myself at.
