Read moreFrom beginning to end, this was an incredible dining experience. The chef welcomed us in, he did this to every single member that walked in and made them feel at home and you could tell he was thankful and made you feel comfortable and appreciated, like you were family. He was very kind and funny.
My mom had a mixed paella, and I had Partridge that was served with a picked jus and carrots and potatoes (very delicate and light).
My mom did not talk very much as she was enjoying her meal too much. I was doing the same, savoring the taste and this beautifully crafted meal. The flavors were not strong, well-balanced, and light, but it was honoring the flavors of the ingredients, primarily the partridge. It was all very delicious and if I lived there I would certainly be a regular customer.
They gave each table a complimentary glass of wine. I myself am not a drinker, but it was quite good. My mom did like it very much.
We had various tables around us, alm the guests I could tell were experiencing the same happiness in eating a well crafted meal. One kid even shouted to his family in content that this was the best tortilla (Spanish Omelet) he had ever had. You can tell he has eaten many :) he said he enjoyed everything so far, not sure jow much they had tried from their menu yet, but there was a lot on their table, that he wanted a whole paella to himself.
This all being said, I can safely say this is hands down the best restaurant of Toledo to go to. You are missing out if...
Read moreI had passed by this bustling restaurant several times during my stay in Toledo and decided to pop in to ask if they offer a take away menu. Even though the restaurant was nearly full with dine-in patrons, the owner and chef, Antonio, made me feel like I was the only one there. He spoke with me about the restaurant, showed me the menu, explained their various offerings and gave a couple of recommendations. But, his hospitality did not stop there. He invited me inside, showed me around the restaurant, poured me a complimentary glass of delicious house wine and offered me some olives while I browsed the menu. I placed a take away order for later that day and, when I returned a couple hours later, I was welcomed as if I were a regular customer.
Beyond this fabulous treatment by the owner, my "Costillar Asado" was absolutely delicious. The ribs were perfectly seasoned and fall-off-the-bone tender, accompanied by a wonderful side of rosemary potatoes and house bread to soak up the scrumptious, savory juices from the meat.
I simply cannot say enough good things about my experience. All expectations exceeded....
