Bar Havana — Restaurant in Torremolinos

We visited tonight for a cocktail making class. I have marked food as 5 star, as the quality of snack was very good, as was the wine selection and cocktails. They tried to make the cocktail making class fun, however this seemed only to be fun and engaging on their terms. I dared to do an extra splash of rum (Havana kiss) (which we were encouraged to do) earlier than instructed and was basically shouted at in front of 7 other people, I didn't do this to get more than I was entitled to, but to have a laugh, as these things are supposed to be fun and engaging, I then tried to interact a couple of times with Morgan about my friend who had specially worn a cocktail shirt, this fell on deaf ears, and were more interested getting the class done. Don't get me wrong, it was a good experience however I found them quite dismissive if you wanted to engage, like I say, it was more one way. I felt the cocktail experience was more a money spinner, than it was getting you invested in the bar and future business, they need to try harder at this. As a bar, its lovely !!! The ingredients and service as a bar is good, however as a customer paid experience, they need to try harder, its probably disencouraged us from re visiting, which is the opposite of what they probably want..... I've tried to make this review as honest as I can, and have praised it as a bar ... but its about the customer, not about putting on a one way...

I don’t usually leave reviews but it’s important when finding somewhere this wonderful. This is a special place, inclusive, thoughtfully run and with incredible staff and immense energy.

The cocktails are second to none (and believe me, we tried and tested!), really reasonable, and the style of the bar is so modern and chic. We found ourselves going back time and time again.

A superb bar but the cocktails steal the show - so much so we had to sign up for their cocktail masterclass.

The cocktail class ended up being a lovely activity, really energetic and also really useful skills and tips for making your own cocktails at home after. The class itself was hosted by Morgan the Mouth, Sexy Lexi and Anthony. The class was educational but also a little bit cheeky, very funny and put you at ease. Morgan was fantastic, an amazing host, that energy! Morgan and Lexi were an amazing team, really played well off each other and were good sports at poking fun at the group if they were boisterous enough!

Treat yourself to an educational, full of energy, slightly boozy class, you won’t regret it, it’s a really fun activity to fill an evening.

Well, where do I start about Bar Havana? Having watched the progress of the bar on TV, my wife & I decided it was a 'must visit' on our next trip to the area. It certainly didn't let us down! We knew that the bar didn't open until 6pm, but thought that we'd have a walk around the area to locate the bar first and then return a little later. It must have been around 5.30pm that we arrived and could see the bar was being prepared for opening. Pat (one of the owners & a fellow Scotsman 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿) kindly offered us a seat & a drink outside while they were finishing the cleaning. Once open, Pat gave us a tour of the amazing bar, in which, the standard of finish & attention to detail is phenomenal. We then spent the next couple of hours enjoying the fantastic cocktails and tremendous service offered by Pat & his team. I'm sure that Torremolinos has quite literally, hundreds of bars. In these circumstances differentiating your bar from the others is what's key to success & wow have they done that!
