Our visit to Beirut was a very disappointing experience overall.
We really love Lebanese food, so were looking forward to it in view of the many good reviews.
The food is actually quite bad. It is really entry level Lebanese food, almost snackbar style.
We had the mixed menu, with three courses for € 25.50.
The starter was a mix of some hummus, baba ganoush, Lebanese bread, a very basic salad en two small snacks, one with cheese and one with meat. It was not bad, though the baba was quite tasteless.
After that, the 'main course' came. It is a small BBQ pin with some grilled meat on it. With that, you only get served some rice and a couple of fries. On the BBQ pin, we had one with beef and one with lamb. The beef was burned and overcooked. Really dry. The lamb was sort of soggy and tasteless, as if it had been deep frozen. You pay a € 3.00 surcharge for the lamb. The portions were really small, maybe around 40-50 grams of meat per main course. We thought this maybe a second starter or something, but that was the whole thing.
Then we got dessert, which was a middle eastern sweet thing. This was not good, not bad.
The staff was kind, but rather inefficient. They are very busy, but that is also because they very often walk back to the kitchen empty handed. They forgot to take out our table before the 'main course' came. The starter plates were not replaced. The table was not cleaned.
We paid € 72.00 (incl a small tip), with just some water and a coffee after.
I am not too sure why people rate this place so positively, as it is very very basic in terms of Lebanese cuisine, embarssingly small portions, and pretty ill prepared food. We have had Lebanese food very often, both in the Netherlands, Belgium and e.g. Paris, but I guess this is really the worse one we've had so far. Maybe for somebody that has never had Lebanese food before, the taste of e.g. hummus can be surprising.

The answer that was written by you is not correct, and the employee did not mention that because of the law of the restaurant, but rather he said that we do not have the ability to provide the dish for takeaway, so I replied that I can pay you to provide the necessary tools, and the employee took the entire order and received the amount of 150 euros from me, but One of the employees told him that the demand is large and we do not have the capabilities, please do not fabricate events, and I am still sure that the restaurant is bad in terms of staff, but I did not talk about the food, and if you review the opinions of the public, you see that there are many who say that your employees do not respect customers, please choose Your employees carefully, and I repeat the employee has a bad way of dealing with customers and I repeat, I do not recommend your bad restaurant, and this is my personal opinion...
Read moreWe went there on a Friday night, we had no booking so they shoved us on a small 2 person table made up for 4 in the corner.
Staff seemed efficient but not over friendly. Menu was only available by scanning the QR codIn e to view on your device.
It was a bit unclear what items were appetisers and which were mains or sides so we asked the waiter to confirm.
For starters we had a humus bowl which can with plenty of flatbread and crisp bread. It’s a good job because the other items were tiny.
Croquettas were sold individually for Eur 2.70 each and were about half the size of a normal spanish croquetta. Very tasty but weee bite size only.
For mains we had a lamb skewer which had 4 very small pieces of lamb and a kebab which again was very small. They padded them out a bit with fries and rice but hardly any meat one either.
Usually Lebanese is one of our preferred cuisines due to the abundance of fresh meats but this was very disappointing purely because we left hungry.
2 kids meals were apparently nice but a bit small again.
The place was still pretty quiet when we left so not sure why they only gave us a small table on the dingy corner.
The only other tables taken were from a couple of families with young kids that spent most of the time running around.
Outside there were a few tables but reserved for...
