Mare Meua Bar de Tapas — Restaurant in Valencia

**The opening hours do not match those listed on google, so beware! We had to wait around for a while for it to open. But Russafa is a great neighbourhood with plenty to see and do in the meantime.

Mare Meua is a quirky colourful and character filled tapas place in Russafa run by two sisters. All the decorations suggested the days of the patriarchy are numbered, so it’s definitely my kinda place! The tapas were plentiful, a wide variety of interesting bar snacks set out on the bar, a feast for the eyes. We were looking for a tapas bar with a twist after a week of having the traditional tapas in Valencia.

This place was exactly what we were looking for as it had tapas but very different from what we’ve had. We could order at de bar where you could see where to choose from. Everything looked delicious but the tasted was even better!!

It was also nice to see this place is ran with passion, creativity and the people working here really seem to love their job. The food was original and tasteful, we tried a lot and none of them disappointed! When we come back to Valencia we are excited to see what’s new in store...
