My friend and I came here during Las Fallas for dinner. We waited a long time for our table (understandable given the festival) and when we were finally given a table, it took a long time for a server to see us. We tried to order mac & cheese and were told they didn't have it. So instead we ordered paella valenciana and a burger, along with a jarra of agua de Valencia. 45 minutes later, they notified us that they were out of the paella so I had to get the seafood paella. I reluctantly agreed. More time passed and they came with our food, which was mediocre at best. After ordering another jarra, we were told they were out of the blood orange juice, so it wasn't the same as the first jarra. We understood that it was busy given the circumstances and we can pardon the fact that they ran out of some things, but when we tried to explain the number of things that went wrong and kindly asked them to compensate us in some way, they were indifferent. We would not recommend this place given the poor service and the...
Read moreSuch a great place! Came here on Saturday night quite late and the place was packed! Great atmosphere from the get go. The waiter was attentive and friendly and explained the menu and a variety of deals on offer. He also came to check up on us multiple times throughout the evening. We got two starters to share: falafel and patatas bravas. The falafel was delicious but overpriced for what you get. On the other hand the patatas bravas were a huge portion, delicious and came with a lovely spicy sauce. We then shared a vegetable paella which was 9.90 pp. It was tasty but not the best paella I've had. Vegetarian paella is quite hard to come by around here as most places will do seafood, so I was glad to have the option though. We also shared a jug of sangria which was nice but it was made with Fanta lemon so it was very sweet and the red wine taste was very muted. However for €14, cheaper than most places we'd seen for a jug, it was nice.
Overall a tasty meal for not too expensive. The highlight was...
Read moreWe had dinner there last weekend, the food was great, everything looked and tasted fresh. The service was excellent, our waiter surprised us with his perfect english as opposed to other places where we had trouble being understood. It's located near the town's old cathedral square, in a pedestrian street which was great as there was no motor noises, that plus the nice soul soundtrack playing in the background created a cosy atmosphere that we enjoyed. We had the greek salad, which was fresh and the salmon tasted great, and for seconds my boyfriend had the Chef's burger and I opted for a couple of tapas, the fried squid and the bravas potatoes were great! We also had the house red wine, which was recommended to us, it was a Valencian wine, I don't recall the name, but was quite tasty for around 10€. Would...
