Cafeteria Sant Esteve — Restaurant in Valencia

Einfach genial. Abseits von touristischem Trubel ein paar Seitenstrassen weiter von der Kathedrale entfernt befindet sich am Plaça de Sant Esteve die Cafeteria San Esteve. Das Lokal liegt unscheinbar in einer sonnigen Ecke von Valencia. Der Aussenbereich und das Menü des Tages lädt dazu ein nach einem Tisch zu fragen. Eine sehr freundliche Kellnerin hat uns einen Tisch zugewiesen. Wir bestellten das Menü des Tages, welches inklusiv Getränke und Nachtisch für 11 Euro angeboten wurde. Die Bedienung erzählte uns nicht nur was es heute gibt, sondern beschrieb auch mit Freude, welche Zutaten verwendet werden. Als ersten Teller bestellten wir einen gemischten Salat. Als zweiten Teller gab es den valencianischen Reis aus dem Ofen. Es war ein sehr leckeres Mittagsmenü. Zum Nachtisch bekamen  wir hausgemachten Flan. (Pudding mit frischen Eiern). Es hat alles super lecker geschmeckt. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist für Valencia unschlagbar. Inklusiv einem Kaffee haben wir in Summe 25,40 € bezahlt plus Trinkgeld. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Es hat uns sehr gut bei Euch gefallen und wir möchten dieses Lokal sehr gerne weiterempfehlen.  Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft wir kommen gerne wieder.

Simplemente impresionante.  Alejada del bullicio turístico, unas calles secundarias más alejadas de la catedral se encuentra la Cafetería San Esteve en la plaza de Sant Esteve.  El restaurante está discretamente situado en un rincón soleado de Valencia.  La zona exterior y el menú del día invitan a pedir mesa.  Una camarera muy amable nos asignó una mesa.  Pedimos el menú del día, que incluía bebida y postre por 11 euros.  La camarera no sólo nos contó lo que había disponible hoy, sino que también nos describió alegremente qué ingredientes se utilizaron.  El primer plato que pedimos fue una ensalada mixta.  El segundo plato fue el arroz valenciano al horno.  Fue un menú de almuerzo muy sabroso.  De postre comimos flan casero.  (Pudín con huevos frescos).  Todo sabía súper delicioso.  La relación precio/rendimiento es inmejorable para Valencia.  Incluyendo un café, pagamos un total de 25,40€ más propina.  El servicio fue muy amable y atento.  Realmente disfrutamos nuestra estadía con usted y nos gustaría recomendar este restaurante a otros.   Gracias por su hospitalidad, nos encantaría volver.

Simply brilliant. Away from the hustle and bustle of tourists, a few side streets from the cathedral, on the Plaça de Sant Esteve, you will find the Cafeteria San Esteve. The restaurant is inconspicuously located in a sunny corner of Valencia. The outside area and the menu of the day invite you to ask for a table. A very friendly waitress showed us a table. We ordered the menu of the day, which included drinks and dessert for 11 euros. The waitress not only told us what was on offer today, but also happily described which ingredients were used. For our first plate we ordered a mixed salad. For our second plate we had Valencian rice from the oven. It was a very tasty lunch. For dessert we had homemade flan (pudding with fresh eggs). Everything tasted delicious. The price/performance ratio is unbeatable for Valencia. Including a coffee we paid a total of 25.40 euros plus a tip. The service was very friendly and attentive.  We really enjoyed our stay with you and would like to recommend this restaurant to others. Thank you for your hospitality, we will be happy to come back.

Tout simplement génial.  À l'écart de l'agitation des touristes, quelques ruelles plus loin de la cathédrale se trouve la cafétéria San Esteve, sur la Plaça de Sant Esteve.  Le restaurant est discrètement situé dans un coin ensoleillé de Valence.  L'espace extérieur et le menu du jour vous invitent à demander une table.  Une serveuse très sympathique nous a attribué une table.  Nous avons commandé le menu du jour comprenant boissons et dessert pour 11 euros.  La serveuse nous a non seulement expliqué ce qui était disponible aujourd'hui, mais elle a également décrit avec plaisir les ingrédients utilisés.  La première assiette que nous avons...

If you want to have a true local breakfast or lunch experience, go here for breakfast at 7:30 or 11:45 and get the tostadas (sandwiches) + coffee. It’s cheap, it’s tasty and the vibes are just right.
