a while back I went with my dog in his backpack, and one of the girls was absolutely nice about it, "he's welcome indoors, and no need to go in his backpack" I ordered, sat down, had my coffee and pastries, read a book, my dog always in his backpack anyways, and not a peep from him, until a group of families with young children came in, yelling and screaming... at some point the parents all left the first table to sit separately from their own children who were being children, louder and yellier, at some point with their noises they provoked my dog who started barking back at them, parents no action, and another girl from the bakery came straight to me and kicked us out because the dog was barking (my second cup of coffee just served) when I replied that my dog was only reacting to the children, she responded "well, yeah, but I can't say anything to them"...REALLY??? that's borderline discrimination... they can kick my dog out for reacting to children, but not tell the children or their parents to quiet down??? BTW, parents saw what happened, finally took action and left with the children, as soon as they did, my dog went back to quiet/ silent until I left.... Please, review how you treat dogs, either you accept them, and accept that they're not always to blame, or just don't accept them... but the bad moment they made me go through, is really no good advertising....
food: pretty good, too sweet, actually rich, everything has too much sugar, and traditional pastries like alfajores de maicena, you can actually taste normal flour.... even coffee without...
Read moreWent a couple of times for Brunch. Depending on the waitress it was either a good or bad experience. It gets busy during lunch (13-14) and you can feel the pressure as the staff at the counter is not trained and unable to manage stress and customers. We got shouted at by the Eastern European waitress to make the (very long) queue outside the cafeteria. So we queued outside and waited and waited and waited. The service is super slow. It is amazing how slow it is, every time at lunch. Always the same story. Half of the tables were empty, but 20 people queuing to make the order at the counter. One time another waitress was very rude trying to explain me that it is THEM who select which kind of a sandwich I will have for lunch and that it will be the ham sandwich today. She had a terrible attitude and then once I told her that it is the 3x time I come here and I always had the vegetarian one, she graciously "agreed" to give it to me. But then, once you finally make it to the table, the Bruch is delicious. You get a nice toasted crispy generously filled sandwich, it comes with a nice glass of frech orange juice, 2 small croissants, coffee of choice and a cup of yogurt with fresh fruit and granola - for 9eur. I think it is a good offer and value, really tasty and satisfactory. It is a nice place to work from if you are digital nomad, as the staff ignores you mostly so you are not pressurized to leave or...
Read moreTheir cakes are ok but nothing special. But the most annoying is the queue. Instead of letting people sit and take their orders (they eitherway bring them to the table), you have to queue outside. This is beyond stupid and never seen it anywhere else before. The service is the slowest you will encounter in Valencia. EDIT: Today I went to grab a late as there was no queue. They dont have different sizes like in Starbucks, only one size. I paid 4.5 for a small coffee and the worst - the girl working there gave it to me in a cup that is meant for cold drinks. this is absolutely unhealthy, you should get paper cups like all other cafe shops! Another time I went there they didnt want to clean a table and we had to sit facing filthy dishes, my friend asked them to clean it and they didnt and then I went and a fat girl working there made fun of my Spanish. Awful service. The slowest, most unfriendly...
