We went in for a late dinner with my brother because I was excited for the 4 vegan options. I tried the vegan lasagne and I'm genuinely certain it wasn't vegan. I've eaten all the vegan options in 5 countries in the past few years, that I could find, and none of them was this close to real cheese. I'd love to hear what cheese they put on the "vegan" lasagne exactly because it's impossible that it wasn't real cheese. Even by the look of it. I asked the waiter straight away, are you sure it's vegan? He said yes. It was well seasoned tho, the flavour was good but I asked for a vegan lasagne for a reason! I'm vegan for ethical reasons but what if I'd have allergy? Very concerning... Other than that my brother said the pizza would've been better if we ate in Domino's so he wasn't too satisfied either. On top of all this, the man who served us was rushing us very rudely during the whole time. I picked up the last fries from my starter plate while he already pulled the plate away and placed the lasagne in front of me. I literally had the lasagne in front of me by the time the fries reached my mouth... SO RUDE! If you don't have time to take more customers in, just tell them to go elsewhere, because people don't like to be rushed while they're trying to have a calm dinner. We considered to have some drinks later, but after this service and seeing that they're literally closing the restaurant around us, obviously we didn't ask for cocktails and pretty sure we won't return...
Read moreWe chose this place based on the many positive reviews. The place is nice, the service very kind and fast. As a first course we split up some sea ravioli with shrimp sauce and they were excellent. The sore point unfortunately came with the second dish. We ordered a mixed grill of fish, which on the menu was offered at 55 € for two people. It seemed like an adequate price. When they brought the tray, it contained: a small sea bream, a super small steak of salmon and a slice of tuna. Also, french fries, half a tomato, a slice of eggplant, one of courgette and a small piece of corn on the cob. Even so, 55 euros would not have been justified from any point of view, compared to the quantity of fish contained in the dish. What's worse: overcooked and spiny sea bream, tasteless salmon (it looked thawed) and way too raw tuna (and we usually eat sashimi ... but that didn't taste good either). Total cost of the dinner, including three half bottles of water: about 78 euros, ultimately for having eaten a plate and a half each. Too bad for the service and for the ravioli, which were really good, but it is a place where we would never go back and that we feel we...
Read moreMy fiancée and I recently had the pleasure of having sunday lunch at Divina Comedia with some friend, a charming restaurant located right in front of the sea. We enjoyed their Menu del Día for a reasonable €20 each, excluding drinks and taxes. The experience was delightful, starting with the entrées. The fish croquettes were exceptionally tasty, and the fried squid was perfectly crisp and flavorful. Both dishes set a high standard for the meal.
For the main course, we had the paella de marisco. While it was good (very juicy and crispy rice), it was more average compared to the standout starters and dessert. Nonetheless, it was well-prepared and offered a satisfying portion of seafood.
Our meal concluded with a simple yet wonderful tarta de oreo. Despite its simplicity, the dessert was a highlight and left a lasting impression.
Overall, Divina Comedia provides excellent value with their Menu del Día, featuring well-executed dishes that cater to a variety of tastes. We highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a quality meal at an affordable price, especially with the added bonus of a...
