Mediterrània — Restaurant in Valencia

Woooow!! It's been a looong time since I've been treated și poorly.. Been there and ordered a drink and something to eat. Not sure why, but they were closing at 7 and nobody told me about it. I didn't feel very well, and needed a place to chill for a bit. The toilet was totally ignored, no toilet paper, too, or any touch of cleanliness.. So, at 7 pm they started to broom the floor next to my table, and also to put the chairs on the tables. They sprayed the floor with some cleaner that was smelling horrible and couldn't breathe. I rushed to finish and asked for a cup to take away my drink as it was still full. The hygiene was not respected at all, they touch the cup with 2 fingers inside, using the same hand they touched the broom, mop and everything in sight. I would not recommend anyone to eat here. Terrible service and really unhygienic. I paid and left the drink...

Just ate here for lunch. Horrible. Took 20 minutes to even order drinks. When the drinks arrived, the waiter couldn’t even tell us what they were. Ordered a bunch of tapas to share. The bravas were soggy potatoes covered with a spoonful of Mayo and a ton of paprika. The chicken fingers were fried dark. The calamares were cold and had no dipping sauce. The pulpo was obviously not fresh and the potatoes it came with were again soggy and lacked any sort of crispness. We ordered other tapas but they never arrived. We decided to cut our losses and just cash out and go somewhere else. We had to flag down the hostess for the check because the waiters were around and when she brought it she said she would send a waitress so we waited for another 15 minutes before we had to chase after a waitress to pay who said she had no idea we were waiting. Reviews about this place was good so thought we’d try. If you’re wanting good quality food then don’t go here but if you’re going for budget food then definitely go there. Have to be reasonable and say that for 15Euro per person and you get a choice of 2 dishes each plus dessert and coffee, who can fault it right? Plus the view was amazing. We chose a table near the entrance and we both sat facing the sea. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Foodwise, the paella was nothing to write home about. I think I might be able to do better following a YouTube recipe. The fried calamari was good and lamb steaks were ok for the price it was.
