Hello, Normally, I didn’t want to leave a bad review for this place (because the Cocktail was good), but I feel like I have to share my experience for the other people who want to visit this restaurant.

On June 25th, 2025, I visited this restaurant in the afternoon to have lunch. I ordered a “Paella.” Since it was my first time visiting Spain, it’s understandable that I didn’t know much about their food. When I searched on Google, I saw pictures of seafood paella. Because I wasn’t familiar with the names, I showed the waiter the photo and asked for that dish. He kindly took my order and informed me that the portion was for two people.

I asked if it was a very large portion, and he told me it wasn’t too big. I thought if I couldn’t finish it, I could pack the rest, and he agreed.

But when the food arrived, the portion was huge — in my opinion, more like for 6 people — and instead of seafood, it was made with chicken. I told the waiter that I couldn’t eat chicken and reminded him that I had shown a picture with seafood. I politely asked if it would be possible to change it.

At that moment, the waiter became rude and said, “Why do you order something if you don’t even know what’s in it?” I was shocked by this reaction. He also informed me that the restaurant only serves portions for two people.

What I want to say is: Why you tell customers that the portion is “not too big,” when in reality, it’s huge? This kind of misleading information can easily cause frustration.

Also, if you only serve portions for two people, I believe it would be fair to inform solo guests more clearly beforehand. That would be the minimum level of service I would expect.

In the end, I had a cocktail for €8 and paid €35.80 for a meal I couldn’t eat. You could maybe have at least offered to reduce the price or something else, but you didn’t. I paid really 35,8€ what I didn’t eat :(

I left the restaurant feeling disappointed and uncomfortable. If you are the owner, I recommend you reconsider your customer service policies. Otherwise, it comes across as dishonest, and that’s really...

We come here occasionally and lately the lunch menu is very nice. We really enjoyed the vegetarian paella on our last visit. Service, unfortunately, was just terrible at some point. Total disorganization. The waiter kept walking back empty handed while 3 tables had dirty dishes on them, including ours (the first thing I learned working in a cafe, was NEVER walk back emptyhanded). And then he walked back to the other side of the restaurant holding 1 beer. After we had been ignored for about 30 minutes, i asked if we could order the deserts. The reply was yes, 1 second. And then another 10 minutes past. Meanwhile the kids were getting impatient, so I gave up and I asked another waiter and we finally got a desert after another 10 minutes. Same thing happened with the bill. I asked for the bill, and we got it quickly. Right away I said I wanted to pay with card and this was acknowledged. Then, nothing for 10 minutes, and I was now alone at the table because my wife and kids had already left. Finally a waiter showed up with the card machine and, miraculously let the table next to me pay only to run back to the bar to do some dishes. So i walked to the bar and paid there. Why I wrote all this down? I hope they take it as constructive criticism because the location is really nice, the food is good, and with some improvements to the organisation the life of the waiters (and visitors) will become...

We were waiting for the table about 7 minutes: for the waiter to show us the table( whole restaurant was empty and a lot free tables ). When we sat and quickly chose what we want we waited 15 minutes soo we had to call waiter to order because none of them didn’t care about us. I got mojito, it was a lemon juice from the box and I couldn’t taste any alcohol. I paid for it 10 euros, it wasn’t worth it at all…… disaster. After finishing, we wanted to pay and we waited another 15-20 minutes trying to catch waiter.Soo angry, we were standing at the bar desk and after another 5 minutes waiter witch sat as 1 hour ago asked as if we want a table….. I told him that we wanted to pay and other lady come and asked as what we ordered so we could finally pay. The most terrible table service I’ve ever had, the drinks were overrated and it was awful experience

I don't recommend...

I ordered the Baby squid Andalusian style for a starter and it was pretty nice. Little bit of lemon and it was perfect. I ordered the pork tenderloin as a main but was waiting for a good while (over 30mins). A waiter came over to us at one stage stating the food will be brought over in 2mins which was unusual but we waited, and waited... The food finally arrived. Chips were cold, onions and pork was lukewarm. It would have been fantastic if it was actually served when it was done, not waiting in the kitchen to be served. Very disappointing, I admired the cooking as it was super tasty but it just wasn't delivered on time which made it taste like food leftovers tl;dr Main course arrived late and was nearly gone cold despite being told it would arrive soon. Prompt the waiters if you're waiting!

Portolito is a restaurant with a very tasteful interior design. Being on the beach with an open view was a huge bonus for me. Very friendly staff who clearly enjoyed their work. That means a lot to me. For an appetizer, I ordered nachos with sides. Wow, great to look at and tasted so good. The hamburgers were ok. The lamb and pork were perfectly cooked, tender and delicious. The only thing that distracted us all were the fries. With the entire menu and offer could fries be prepared differently. Very poor. As it was, it didn't fit my taste. Their Valencia water coctail and sangria were very tasty and strong. We will definitely come back here when we are in Valencia.
