Mangiamo — Restaurant in Valencia

We had a terrible meal in another restaurant nearby and Mangiamo saved the day. We had planned to go there earlier on but having booked into another restaurant around the corner said we better honour the reservation. We were totally wrong as the restaurant we went to first was terrible and thankfully on our way back to our hotel with empty stomachs we passed this gorgeous place again and couldn’t resist grabbing a pizza and some wine from the hatch. The pizza was incredible, thin crust- proper Italian style full of flavour and packed with toppings and the wine was great too. It was just the pick me up we needed after our first meal. It’s a casual spot, great for a really tasty meal, a chat annd some people watching non this busy little street. And at just €15 for a pizza, glass of wine and a beer it was an absolute bargain! The service was so good, after 5 minutes Roger felt like an old friend and we were sorry to leave as we enjoyed chatting with him so much. We are here in Valencia for another week and will definitely be back for another delicious pizza and some top notch service. I’m only sad I didn’t try the tiramisu but we will definitely be back again to try it. Thank you Roger for cheering us up and turning a bad night out into a great one. Small place, but serious about good food and customer service. I went here for a light dinner and drink before a dance party. The waitress switched to English when I said, 'Hablas ingles?' She was so sweet and patient with me. I had the pasta of the day for six euros - perfectly-sized, flavourful dish of mushroom pasta. LOVED IT. The walls and ceilings are decorated in a fun, mystical way. My only point for improvement is the music - play some adult music; the crowd comprises of mostly adults! Avril Lavigne's whole album, seriously? :) BUT I WOULD GO BACK...

Hicimos una reserva por las buenas reseñas que tenía. A última hora el núm de comensales se aumentó en 4, al ser un núm elevado (total de 20) llamamos para informar y nos dijeron que nos apretarían pero que sí que podrían acoplarnos en una mesa. Cuando llegamos fue imposible sentarnos a todos, no cabíamos, aunque nos apretásemos mucho no había sitio para todos. Finalmente los últimos 4 que se apuntaron se tuvieron que marchar. Podrían habernos dicho que no cabíamos y nos hubiésemos buscado otro sitio. Nos quedamos los 16 que sí que a duras penas cabíamos en la mesa y pedimos pizzas, pasta y algún entrante más. Dicen que llevan más de 15 años haciendo pizzas pero la verdad no sé si esq han bajado la calidad estos últimos años xq a nosotros no nos parecieron muy buenas, además nos metieron en un local que estaba al lado del restaurante, allí no hacían la comida. La hacían en el restaurante y la pasaban por la calle al local dnd estábamos. Todo llegaba frío y la masa muy fina pero ni crujiente ni nada. Se tuvieron que llevar un par de platos para volver a calentar. El baño dejaba bastante que desear, le falta una buena limpieza, pongo fotos para que vosotros mismos lo juzguéis. No volveremos

Respondiéndote:si no se cabe no se cabe y deberíais de haberlo avisado pero preferisteis no perder la reserva y ese baño hace mil años que no ve la lejía, no es suciedad de uso de un día, eso seguro. El cartel ……. sin comentarios, la foto...
