Cytrus Ruzafa — Restaurant in Valencia

The food is great and I loved the meat dishes however, the plates are pretty small and expensive. The problem is not with the food though, it's with their appalling customer service. They charged us for a bottle that fell off the table when we were not actually sitting at the table, so clearly it had nothing to do with us. The table next to us saw it all and could confirm. The food being expensive, we only realised they over-charged us for the wine (with a discount) the following day when I checked the bill. A very poor customer service move in my book... But the worst is what happened next. My friend called to ask for an explanation and a refund, as this was not our fault in any shape or form. The waiter started blaming us, which makes no sense since, again, we were not at our table when the incident happened. Then the manager took over the phone and literally SCREAMED at my friend, and tried to THREATEN her (asking her where she lived, so he could come and see her face... SUPER CREEPY). WHO DOES THAT?

I cannot fathom why any business would risk a bad review over 7€ in the end, but that's consistent with how the rest of the story played out.

Everything was ok until i've checked the bill the next day!

After we spent almost 60 eur for 2 , we realised that they charged us 1 bottle and a half instead of 1 (weird). As a summary : They served the bottles in a really bad container Ice.Bag bottle cooler really unstable so after the waiter brought the bottle it fell off the table.. so we thought we didn't have to pay for that.. the problem came after i call them to understand more the over charge.

I talked with 2 of the bartenders + the manager. Really rude to me and screaming to the phone.. I couldn't explain myself properly...

Manager's answer: "Come back to the restaurant i want to see your face and i will give you the money back , do you live far?? don't worry i am not going to stalk you but i want to see your face" etc etc, really dodgy and unprofessional... I hang up and i was almost in tears just for 8 miserable euros.

Honestly i don't care about the 8 eur over charge but I don;t think this is the professional way to deal with this kind of situations. So you can keep the 8 eur and buy better wine coolers.

Antes de servirnos la comida nos sirvieron una olivas y algo que me gustaría destacar es la amabilidad que tuvo la camarera con nosotros durante toda la comida, el cual fue impecable en todo momento.

Centrándonos en la comida, pedimos las dos tapas más diferentes, y que más nos llamaron la atención. La primera que nos trajeron fue el Tartar de Fuet. Un tartar con un sabor a fuet más que logrado, que contenía en la parte superior del mismo una yema que le daba bastante cremosidad, y que estaba acompañado por unas rodajas de pan tostado. La otra tapa por la que optamos antes del arroz fueron las Clotxinas Estilo Thai. Unas clotxinas acompañadas por una salsa que llevaba coco y lima y que tenía un ligero toque picante soportable para cualquier paladar. A pesar de que a mi acompañante le gustaron bastante, sin estar malas, no me terminaron de convencer tanto como la tapa anterior. Después de las dos tapas pasamos al principal, el Arroz a la Llanda de Rabo de Toro con Alioli de Membrillo (mínimo dos personas). Era la primera vez que probaba el arroz a la llanda y por tanto no puedo comparar con otros. Sin embargo, si que me gustaría destacar como punto positivo el increíble Alioli de Membrillo, de las mejores variedades de alioli que he probado. Y como punto negativo, que el rabo de toro estaba demasiado hecho y no pudimos disfrutar de esa melosidad tan característica del mismo. Para finalizar en el menú se incluyen los postres, así que optamos por probar los dos que más nos atrajeron. En primer lugar probamos el Tiramisú, el cual viene en tarro un forma de representar las tartas de la que no soy muy fan. En lo que al sabor se refiere bastante sin más, no esta malo, ya que es muy difícil encontrarte con un tiramisú malo, pero al rato de comerlo te vas a olvidar y por eso se queda con una puntuación de...

El otro postre fue la Tarta Banoffee, también en tarro. Algo mejor que el Tiramisú, pero tampoco para tirar cohetes. La presencia del plátano si que estaba patente, pero el Dulce de Leche pasó bastante desapercibido...
